Hola buenas a todos, ya llevo un tiempo pensando en rootear la Iconia, he leido muchos tutoriales, informandome, etc... pero tengo una duda que no encuetro.
El programa que la rootea es el blackthund3r ICS Root 7 al rootear instala BusyBox, algunas herramientas y scripts, ahora mi pregunta, ¿al rootear todavia puedo actualizar la tablet oficialmente? y tambien ¿como se puede desrootear ?
No he encontrado mucho para ICS, muchas gracias por adelantado

Te dejo enlace e informacion sobre el rooteo sencillo para ICS de A500 y tambien herramienta de "desrooteo". Aclaro que aun teniendo superusuario (root) en el dispositivo no tendrias ninguna pega en actualizar si saliera firm posterior. Lo que si es cierto que al hacerlo muy posiblemente perderias root teniendo que esperar a que saliera alguna manera de procurarlo para dicha version.

ICS Root is a tool to root Ice Cream Sandwich on Acer Tablets. It works on all official ICS builds and is ridiculously easy to use. It is extendible via third party bundles too and is now less than 5mb in size and the zipped up download is just 1.8mb!!

Feature list

*Roots, installs Superuser, su, busybox and my A500 Root Tools app specific to the Acer ICS which allows you to remount /system rw without a patched kernel as well as get your UID on the ICS Bootloader

*Can remove AcerNidus
*Can remove the auto-reflash of the stock recovery so you can install CWM in APX mode and not have it immediately overwritten
*Works with all A500 leaks as well as the OTA Releases on both the A50x and A51x!
*sysrw / sysro installation
*Bundle Market functionality like the APX Flash Tool but for automatic installation of files whilst rooting
*Completely rewritten from scratch in version 7 for reliability and functionality

Instructions

Windows

0) Install ICS on your tablet
1) Enable USB Debugging on your tablet (Settings | Development | Enable USB Debugging)
2) Plug your tablet into the computer using the USB cable
3) Load up ICS Root, choose your options and press "DO IT!"
4) Once rebooted, enjoy!!

Linux

0) Install ICS on your tablet
1) Enable USB Debugging on your tablet (Settings | Development | Enable USB Debugging)
2) Plug your tablet into the computer using the USB cable
3) Ensure you have extracted the Linux ICS Root zip file
4) Load up a terminal windows and cd to the directory containing ICS Root
5) Run chmod +x ./root.sh to make the script executable
6) Run ./root.sh -d to debug the connection. Ensure ADB detects your device
7) Run ./root.sh -h to choose what options you want
8) Run ./root.sh <your options here> to process your tablet
9) Once the tablet reboots, you're all set! Enjoy!

System Requirements

Windows

* Windows XP / Vista / 7
* .Net framework 4
* Acer Iconia USB / ADB Driver from Acer

Linux

* Any good Linux distribution
* You MAY require, depending on your distribution and selection of packages installed, a udev rule. This is outside the scope of this post. Otherwise installing the android sdk may fix this

Both

* An Acer Iconia Tab A500 / A501 / G100W / A510 / A511 / A200 (probably) on stock Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 from Acer (either leaked or OTA)
* The tablet USB cable

UnRoot

ICS UnRoot is an app I have written to REMOVE the ICS Root and all features installed by the application - effectively returning you to stock. This is useful if you get some sort of OTA notification which won't install etc
it is currently ***UNTESTED*** but should work - let me know how it goes!!
It will work up to ICS Root version 6 hacked devices and possible 7 too
