Ya tenemos multitouch emulado!!!!!

I'm working with a kernel module to replace SE touchscreen driver to support dualtouch. However, as I found out, it will mostly not be supported by our hardware, because X8 has only 1 sensor and that sensor supports only 1 finger. I don't know whether we can have dual touch if we flash the screen firmware. I will have a look on that. A temporary solution now is to make a one finger pinch zoom. The idea is that we make Android to think that the second finger is also pressed, by generating second finger events from the driver. Because I need to modify hw_config.sh and each ROM has a different hw_config.sh, there will be a specific update.zip for each ROM. Very Important : How to zoom Right now it supports only zoom-in, zoom-out, and rotate. I will improve it over time. For who says it's not working, please read this how-to very carefully: - To activate gesture : Put two fingers near each other, lift one finger up. - To zoom-in (make things bigger): Activate gesture near the center of the screen. Move your remaining finger away from the gesture position to zoom-in. - To zoom-out (make things smaller): Activate gesture at the corner or the side of the screen. Move your remaining finger toward the screen center to zoom-out. - To rotate : Activate gesture at the corner or the side of the screen. Move your remaining finger around the screen center to rotate. Practice your 1 finger pinch zoom with MultiTouch Visualizer 2. Requirements - Rooted - xRecovery (for update.zip installation) Instruction for manual installation: - Remount /system as rw - Copy the attached x8gesture.ko below to /system/lib/modules - Change hw_config.sh in your /system/etc, add this code at the beginning Code: # dx: our modded touchscreen driver insmod /system/lib/modules/x8gesture.ko - Push modified hw_config.sh back to your phone, reboot Instruction for installation with update.zip: - Download update.zip according to your current ROM - Reboot and flash with xRecovery - Report bugs List of update.zip : I'm copying and pasting from multiupload. Modo de Uso por ahora del Zoom: Necesitamos descargarel Multitouch Visualizer 2 desde el Market Una vez dentro de la aplicacion pulsar en la pantalla y dejar presionado Ahora presionar con otro dedo y mover ambos dedos y veran el tipo de movimiento que realizar es cuestion solo de acloparse Requerimientos para su Instalacion: Root xRecovery Instalado Modo de instalacion: - Descarguen el Archivo que corresponda a su FW o ROM - Guardarlo o copiarlo a una carpeta de facil acceso en la SD - Entrar en Modo xrecovery y selecciona la opcion Backup & Restore - Seleccionar la opcion Backup para crear un respaldo de nuestro sistema si es que se requiere (y para evitar algun brick) (tardara algo solo es cuestion de esperar) - Una vez hecho lo anterior Selecciona la opcion Install Custom Update.zip - Buscar el archivo e instalarlo - Reiniciar el telefono y Listo! Una vez dentro del telefono pueden probar el Multitouch (que en si es Dual Touch) y bajarse desde el Market la aplicacion Multitouch Visualizer 2, y ya se podran dar cuenta que pueden usar 2 dedos en pantalla. tio... en el mini pro lo que si seria necesario es poder usar el teclado para jugar a los juegos... y no en pantalla tactil... es que es pequeñisimoooooooooo...
 no me vi nunca jugando en ese tlf.. jajajaja en el i4 si que me echo vicios xd

Este DT esta orientado normalmente para el Zoom, todavía esta medio verde, pero en algún futuro, seguro que se podrá usar el DT en buenos juegos/emuladores  Saludos

Concuerdo con lobo, el MT en minipro no tiene mucha utilidad pues es tan pequeño que si pones los dos pulgares tapas casi media pantalla y no podrias ver el juego/aplicacion que estes intentando usar. Seria MUCHO mejor y mas practico poder usar el teclado fisico para jugar, lastima que los de Sony ....bue no se si lo hacen aproposito o solo por incompetentes.
