George Miller proves that he’s come home to a franchise that he knows best. Mad Max Fury Road is a triumph in every way. It delivers pulse pounding action, stays true to the Max that Miller has established, and makes for the perfect summer movie.

In the little downtime that we have to establish the universe we get a world drought into anarchy. The barren wasteland presented before us is a desert world with water being a crown jewel, food and supplies being the silver to water’s gold. Immortan Joe is the ruler of this wasteland and has a mass cult of followers that fill this twisted world and Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) defies the Joe which spirals in a massive pursuit. It’s a simple plot but one that gets fleshed out during the course of the movie and one that’s thoroughly interesting.
