First of all, hello to you all. I found this thread by searching on Google, which is also the way I found the original TWRP recovery.

As I can see from Google Translate, it appers that I have crossed some of your boundaries here at this forum, by creating the thread: [RECOVERY][D855 Only][Tethered] TWRP 2.7.1.3.
First of all, I was excited over seeing a fully working TWRP recovery on the compomise of starting it from a computer and decided to share it. I didn't mean to step over people's toes which was the reason as that thread, started out as a post under the General Section. I didn't create it in an evil meaning, I only did share it because of the love for our phone.

I do see in the back mirror, that it wasen't smart to post the thread without fully have the original creators accept on this.

When all this is said, I have contacted wolfgart at @XDA and @androidiani (as I don't know if it's the same person) with an apology & I will later today contact a moderator, to delete the thread until the rightful owner comes forward.

Thanks for your post. Very smart from you.

Some days ago, I contacted Wolfgart about this thread here at HTCMania and suggested him to open a thread in XDA. He told me that he preferred not to open it at XDA for the moment. Wolfgart looks nice and friendly. Great if you contact him to verify how he prefers to do.

We are all very excited about the great job Wolfgart in doing. I think he is developer we should follow

Los fabricantes bloquean el bootloader como modo de protección y que desarrolladores lo desbloquean para permitir hacer cambios. Los desarrolladores lo hacer en su tiempo libre y lo comparten gratuitamente, lo cual me parece ... heroico.

Por tanto, nadie "tiene que hacerlo" en el sentido de que esté obligado o recaiga sobre él el deber de ello. Es ... libre.

Como podemos ayudar nosotros?
Podemos ayudar mucho si hacemos contribuciones/donaciones a los desarrolladores que comparten su trabajo y si no les tocamos mucho los...narices y siendo amables y agradecidos.

No Snif, snif Lo único confirmado es que no hay nada confirmado.

Bueno, primer problema, y aviso a todos. He ido a instalar la actulización 10F y no puedo sacarlo del recovery, entra en fastboot directamente. Estoy restaurando la copia de seguridad a ver si sale, pero antes de actualizar (me imagino) hay que volver a poner el recovery original.

EDIT: Nada, que no sale. Tendré que meter la ROM otra vez.

EDIT2: Con normal flash se soluciona, ya puestos he metido la 10G italiana.

Desde el recovery has instalado la 10g ? Cómo ? Si son .kdz

No, he restaurado un backup de la ROM, sin éxito. Cuando le das a actualizar SW reinicia en recovery, pero como lo cambié por el del italiano no iniciaba, se quedaba en fastboot, lo he hecho en download con el LGFlashTool, en modo normal.

Uno de los desarrolladores del recovery TWRP para G3 dice que...
1.- Qué TWRP se la filtrado antes de estar completamente listo
2.- Que el motivo de que no lo hayan hecho aún publico es porque aún no es seguro: Tethered es sólo para usuarios avanzados.

Creo que mejor lo copio para que cada uno saque sus conclusiones. La mía es: están en ello y que lo usemos con cuidadín... cuidadín....

Hey guys! It's IOMonster from IRC, and one of the main devs working on the unlocking project for the G3.

We've been working behind the scenes a lot to create these recoveries (Dees_Troy is awesome!), test them on devices (autoprime, shelnutt2, everyone else), and continue to work on unlocking the phone's bootloader across all variants.

While we're really glad that this recovery is helping people mod their phones how they see fit, we're really concerned about this trend of internal testing builds becoming public without our knowledge or permission.

Wolfgart has been helping us out greatly by providing us with stock firmware for these phones so everyone can recover their phones from bricks with LGFlash, and by testing these files on his own phone too. However, as far as I can see, we never gave permission to release these recoveries to the world either on XDA or the Italian forum that he originally posted it on. As such, we do not endorse the use of this software.

This really isn't a big deal, and I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill, but the reason we keep these things secret and available only to people who are testers is because we *really* want to make sure that these files are safe.

We haven't released any Tethered TWRP builds (and we won't be for the time being), because I've learned from my Optimus G experience with Tethered recoveries. Tethered recoveries require a certain level of skill that the average user may not be comfortable with, and that can lead to people accidentally bricking their devices. This recovery requires people to wipe certain partitions, and plug the phone into USB any time they want to enter recovery - which could be fairly often if a user is installing/testing many system-based mods. We don't want to release anything that could prevent the average user from being able to use their phone on a day to day basis because we weren't able to test the software to it's full extent and guarantee that it won't prevent them from using their phone as it's intended.

Here's a scenario that we worry about routinely: a user wipes recovery, somehow manages to corrupt their phone's system/data partition, and is out in a place where they need to make an emergency call. If the phone had the stock recovery on it, they could simply hard reset (losing their data, but gaining the ability to make the emergency call). But, since this user has erased their recovery partition, they'd have to plug into a computer to do anything to restore their phone to working order.

The take away from this is that we're not upset at wolfgart for publishing this, we totally understand the want to release something useful to the community - but we just ask that people consider the reasons why we ask to not publish software before we're ready.

We're happy that this is out and many people are finding it useful, just *please, please, please* be careful with what you do with your phone before we release an unlock. We can't be held responsible for software that you use that's released before it's ready.

Resumen: Estaba ahí la comunidad de developers dándolo todo y "trabajando en ellou" (en un bootloader abierto, presupongo) y Wolfgart, con la intención de hacer algo útil por la comunidad publicó el recovery tethered sin consentimiento. Y ellos o, al menos, uno de los developers, no recomiendan este tipo de recovery a la gente poco experimentada porque si por alguna causa (léase mi caso en el post #50 de este mismo hilo) es necesario entrar en recovery, el teléfono se quedará en la pantalla del ADB shell y sin un ordenador NO ARRANCARÁ de ninguna de las maneras (esto es cierto, probé casi de todo).

Para el que no lo sepa: THETERED=Atado, o yonki de un ordenador (así no se os olvida)

Llevar un recovery/un jailbreak thetered es un problemón si por lo que sea el terminal necesita entrar o entra en recovery/se te reinicia o apaga el iPhone (que aunque no vaya aquí nunca está de más saberlo)

La buena noticia es que eres humano. Esas cosas les pasa a los humanos.

Hace: Una especie de "ejecutable" que deja elegir qué instalar antes del arranque, y es una idea que te cagas. Entiendo que no lo puede lanzar desde los botones (o estaba en ello) y ahora tiene un semi ladrillo porque no dispone de un nandroid (backup desde el recovery) para restaurar el terminal. Lo que no entiendo es la razón de por qué no funciona LG PC suite o LGFlashtools, como no haya pisado el modo download con el recovery...
