so now the GPU is rendering almost everything, and is good, but not all might work, like MX PLayer or whatstapp. to fix this go to /system/build.prop set permissions from 644 to 777 edit file build.prop find persist.sys.ui.hw=1 edit into persist.sys.ui.hw=0 save and don't forget about permissions to put them back to 644 other wise it will not boot the phone anymore so put permissions back to 644 after save, and reboot phone. go and check whatswapp. |

Thanks, roeddie.
Saludines. |

roeddie, you rock! I need to find some time to do a proper backup of the phone and then try this. A couple questions, haven't read through all of the thread, hope they have not been asked to death already:
- lock screen background: is it possible to change it/could you possibly implement such a thing in some future release? That 'me too' blue sky pattern is SO GODDAMN ANNOYING . Just having the desktop background in its place would be great. - screen unlock using volume keys - I understand that this is related to the so-called 'deep sleep' mode so it might not be possible/might not be possible past a certain time-out (i.e. when the phone goes into deep sleep). But, hey, thought I'd mention it anyway. I am a bit worried about the power button, if it breaks... then we're in deep sh%&! Thanks again for everything - take care! |

Hi everyone, quick question before I f**k up my phone: I already have CWM installed and working properly, can I just flash this ROM from there instead of going through all of the USB flashing steps?
Also, I made a backup using CWM, if something goes wrong or the new ROM does not suit me for whatever reason (unlikely), can I just go back to the backup? Thanks! |

It IS indeed possible to flash roeddie's ROM from CWM if the latter is already on your phone - I'll post the exact version number later. I haven't really done anything with the new ROM yet but first boot went along fine and everything appears to be in its place - I'll post back when I've used it for a few days.
