JellyBam 6.6.0 expected for sunday: Changelog and details

Each release of jellybam I do for me is the best, but this time for me, since I created this ROM in the not so far September of 2012, beat them all.

Among the various new features introduce in JellyBam*6.6.0, listed in the changelog below, I want to point out that the connectivity issues with the HTC One X (Endeavoru) have been resolved with the new driver wpaclient provided by the CyanogenMod team. This release will also be available for the following devices: Samsung Galaxy R (i9103), Samsung Fascinate (Fascinatemtd), HTC Evo 4G LTE (Jewel) and HTC Incredible 4G (Fireball).

Since, as many of you know, we are no longer present with our work on the popular forum XDA, so, we need you! Follow us on our FanPage on facebook and on my twitter. Me and Bliss are also willing to participate actively in forums and blogs that will want to interview, talk to us and promote our works.

I add this little note before the changelog. Many users, from version 6.4.0 to version 6.5.0 found several problems with the application and the Phone sound settings. Since version 6.5.0, we introduced a new vibration provider that is the cause of these problems. Therefore, we suggest a full wipe if you switch from a previous version of 6.5.0 to install 6.6.0.

Alguien ha probado ya esta rom?

La acabo de descargar pero no la he probado aún. En XDA me ha parecido entender en el par comentarios que han realizado que alguno no la recomendaba para un uso diario porque la veía un poco lenta y el GPS no le funcionaba, aunque también comenta que le ha sorprendido la calidad de la cámara y que la tarjeta SD no se le desmonte. El forero Amotio comenta que la grabación sigue siendo perezosa mientras que la cámara no se congela tras hacer una foto.

Supongo que es pronto para hacerse una idea de lo que ofrece y ver si de adapta a las necesidades de cada uno. Igual me animo y la instalo esta tarde y os cuento mi modesta opinión sobre ella.

¡Qué va!, pero si soy un auténtico ignorante en estos temas.

Me he limitado a abrir el hilo de una forma muy poco ortodoxa, dicho sea de paso, porque tal vez habría sido más adecuado no hacerlo e incluirlo en el que ya existe de JELLYBAM.

Que los moderadores y administradores tomen la decisión que crean más conveniente con el hilo que he abierto para esta nueva Rom.

Os cuento...

Instalada y parece que todo funciona correctamente. Y digo parece porque llevo con ella una hora más o menos y no me ha dado tiempo de probarla a fondo. He instalado uno de los juegos que se suelen trabar en otras Roms (Asphalt 6) y va fluido, ahora me falta probar el Real Racing 2 para ver si también funciona sin ningún tipo de tirones.

El GPS entra sin problemas en las aplicaciones que lo han requerido como AccuWeather pero no lo he chequeado mucho más, así que desconozco si irá igual de bien en otras aplicaciones. El resto de programas que utilizo habitualmente y que llevo probados hasta ahora funcionan sin problemas. La linterna TeslaLED también funciona y no reinicia el teléfono como sucede con Linterna LED HD. Como podréis imaginar no he tenido tiempo de ver el comportamiento de la Rom con el uso de la batería. No parece que se la beba pero no tengo suficientes datos para daros datos más concretos.

Adolece del mismo problema que la Mackay con la hora automática porque se retrasa un hora y tienes que configurarla de forma manual para que funcione correctamente.

En resumen, es fluida pero algo menos que la Mackay en la transición por el escritorio y el cajón de aplicaciones, aunque también es cierto que es mucho más configurable y dispone de un mayor número de aplicaciones como Android Tweaker o Awesome BEATS.

Si te refieres a la Apps de Google, sí, vienen incluidas en la Rom.

Comentaros que se me ha desconfigurado la hora, y he sufrido unos cuantos reinicios y bloqueos durante el poco tiempo que la llevo probando. Sin ir mas lejos, al probar la cámara de vídeo me ha sucedido en varias ocasiones. La calidad de la cámara de fotos es buena y funciona algo más fluida que en otras Roms JB que he probado.

No sé, igual es cosa de mi teléfono, pero creo que anda algo verde esta Rom...

Sigue las instrucciones del primer post y realiza Wipe data/cache desde revovery tal y como te aconseja el compañero Luchin. De todas formas, cuando la instalé yo realicé todos los wipes, no solo los que se aconsejan en el proceso de instalación porque es una manía que tengo cada vez que instalo una nueva Rom, para evitar futuros problemas.

Por último, quería comentaros que he terminado quitando la Rom porque no me iba del todo bien con numerosos bloqueos y reinicios del teléfono. Como decía en mi anterior post la veo verde y he vuelto a Mackay que me funciona estupendamente fulida, aunque tenga el problema de la batería que literalmente se la bebe.

Yo terminé quitándola porque se me bloqueaba y reiniciaba mucho, además de que la Mackay me va mucho más fluida. Será cuestión de darle una segunda oportunidad más adelante.
