[Other] [Announcement] MIUI China Developer/Beta ROM and Update Frequency Revision
Now before you dive into the comment frenzy, note that these changes are for the MIUI China Developer ROM. Any changes to the Global Developer ROM is yet to be confirmed. Fellow MIUI Beta Team members, Since the launch of the Beta program on MIUI English Forums in 2013, MIUI fans from all across the world showed tremendous support and took the initiative to participate in the program. They proactively test and hunt for bugs for each ROM updates in every device supported, as well as provide feedback regarding existing features and suggestions for new features. It was never an easy journey, but gladly most of us held together and we made it so far, and for this I would like to represent all from MIUI to tell ye' all on this same boat: Thank you! We thank you for your support all along that led to the ever-improving MIUI we have today. It was great to have you guys on board! In the past four years, Xiaomi have grown extensively, with new devices being introduced under the Mi Phone and Redmi Phone series. Support for Developer ROM and Beta Updates were provided, following Xiaomi's tradition with MIUI all along. Developer ROMs for all these devices share one major block of program and coding, should a bug show up in a device, it will most likely be manifested in multiple different devices. In order to reduce wasted manpower on repetitive labour which hinders our effort at bug hunting, developers have to avoid a unified base code for all devices. For this, developers have compiled data of Developer ROM update activity as well as forum user feedback in order to conduct a revision on update availability and frequency of certain devices. This inevitably leads to reduced frequency, or being dropped out of the list of support for Developer ROM development. This, however, allows them to reallocate the available workforce to cover a wider area of beta testing and increase the efficiency of the system. Pues nada, habrá que pasarse a las estables |
