Poder crear custom roms básicamente.
Al desbloquear el bootloader podemos usar los comandos fastboot y flashear custom recovery (philz en este caso) y desde ahí cuando alguien porte alguna rom tipo Cyanogenmod poder flashearla en el M1.

Dios mio, Cyanogenmod (con Android Lollipop puro y duro) en Meizu M1 podría ser una buenisima opción! Que opinais?
No lo he dicho, pero para desbloquear el bootloader y poner el Philz podéis seguir el mismo tutorial que puse en el foro del MX4. De hecho yo lo hice con el M1 Note. La diferencia es que en lugar de flashear el recovery del mx4 tenéis que hacerlo con el del m1 note.
No lo he puesto en este subforo porque quería que estuviese todo completo para no tener que ir actualizando dos posts
Hola buenas a todos, no estoy muy puesto en esto de las roms y tengo algunas dudas, llevo con mi meizu m1 note 15 dias mas o menos, es la version 4.2.0.5U la rom es la que trae de origen y tiene algunas aplicaciones chinas que no puedo desistalar, queria saber si hay alguna rom de KK mas actualizada que esta no quiero cambiar a LL pues segun comenta el rendimiento de la bateria baja bastante y tambien saber si tengo que borrar todo antes de instalar la nueva rom.

Pero arriesgué y me instalé la 4.5.5A (tenía la 4.2.0.5U como tú), y he notado un aumento bestial en rendimiento, incluso la batería me llega a durar más... No es perfecto en todos los sentidos y faltan cosas por pulir pero a mí al menos me gusta más Lollipop que KK.
Respecto al instalar una nueva ROM si, te recomiendo hacer una instalación limpia borrando todo.

Pues si haces una limpia a 4.5.6a aún lo notarás más, eso sí, no podrás volver atrás
Como instalar las actualizaciones oficiales de Meizu:

Hay tres formas, mediante el Recovery, mediante la aplicación “documentos” y mediante OTA.
Ambas instalaciones son iguales, así que os recomiendo que la instaléis mediante el primer procedimiento ya que es el más rápido y sencillo.
Para instalarla da igual que seáis usuario root, tengáis Xposed activo o tengáis las opciones de desarrollador o ingeniero abiertas, se os instalará igual. No obstante, después de haberse instalado hay que volver a hacer el root, activar Xposed...
Desde la aplicación documentos:
1º Te bajas la ROM.
2º Una vez descargado, tienes que conectar el móvil al pc y copiar el update.zip en la memoria interna del teléfono.
3º Ya copiado, tienes que abrir la aplicación “documentos” que está preinstalada en el Meizu.
4º Estando en la aplicación, vas a "disco" y allí tienes que buscar el update.zip que acabas de copiar.
5º Cuando lo encuentres, lo pinchas y te dirá si quieres instalar la ROM. También te dará la opción borrar los datos de usuario.
Una vez hecho esto, comenzará a instalarse y solo queda esperar un poco.
Desde el recovery:
1º Apaga el Meizu. Conéctalo por USB al pc y entra en el modo recovery (dejando pulsado la tecla volumen + y Power a la vez).
2º Se abrirá una carpeta en el pc llamada Recovery. Arrastra el archivo update.zip del firmware a esa carpeta y al terminar de copiarse cierra la carpeta.
3º Te dirá si quieres instalar esta versión y si quieres borrar datos.
Mediante OTA:
Si tienes una actualización disponible, te llegará una notificación a tu Meizu diciéndote si la quieres descargar. Si aceptas, se te descargará y el proceso será el mismo que en las otras formas de instalar la ROM.
Si por el contrario ves que no te llega ninguna notificación y quieres comprobar si tienes la última versión disponible, solamente tienes que irte a la aplicación “actualizaciones”, dejar que compruebe si tu versión es la última y en el caso de que haya una más reciente te pedirá que la descargues y se repetirá el proceso explicado anteriormente.
Importante: si pasas de una versión más nueva a otra más antigua, es obligatorio marcar “borrar datos de usuario”. También es recomendable actualizar con más de un 40% de batería disponible.
