Hiii all.
I am from India.
BQ aquaris is re branded as xolo Q3000 in India.
I already flashed some roms from this forum.

Android kitkat is already released in India.
Here are sp flash tools files of kitkat.
If at all flash tools give error just use attached scatter file.

Things to be noted after install.
1. Its already rooted.
2. Internal storage will be wiped - so better u backed it up before flash.
3. Phone stoarge will be 4gb, internal will be 9 gb. If u dont want like this then use ur old EBR files from bq stock rom.
4. After kitkat update sd card is not writable by all apps please use attached platform.xml in system/etc/permission

Please try and report.
I successfully flashed stock bq rom 1.3 so I dont think there will be any issues for flashing this one.

testing the problem with storage, the problem with ebr (and use the old) is that the old is based on only 1 file, while u on xolo use both. If u use the old file it won't boot... u have to use the both partition that ur rom adds. But, for me is great...

Other thing, the other scatter, is a problem bigger, depends of file "android img" that we haven't so isn't useful.

About editing the scatter to don't use EBR2, we have the problem with no boot (i have tried :P)

i will try editing partition, any similar that u have put with sdcard... let's try it

After ask... other spotbros user give me a solution, copy all ur 7z over the last update, to fix the missing files... and done!!! running and trying art :P

Just click on uboot and selcet lk file in folder.
or just rename lk file as uboot.img.
ur done.

its because of different version of mtk tools.

I used older version v3.13.

if u use v 3.13 then all files will be selected.
if u use other version need to select
uboot - lk
android - system.img

using v.3.13
using v.5.13

errors u may get when u use scatter file in side the folder
using v.3.13
using v.5.13

solution is use the scatter file attached in first post.

after successful flashing u may see this screen after boot animation.
Just press reset and go ahead.
if at all nothing happens just remove battery and restart.
ur done.

Next most imp thing is sd card permissions.
its disabled in kitkat so u just use this app or manually put platform.xml in system/etc/permission ( u will get this anywhere just google)

Well, to obtain install it, that is what we did:

Copy all contents of your folder over folder contents 1.0.3
And using your scatter, flash it, thats all... with that works

Problems,

- if we use 2nd scatter, what u added, we have problem about positions, android (system image) is too big. If you flash without correct , bootloop. But, if you correct that file, same boot loop.
- if we use uboot that you provide LK no boot (your scatter looks for "lk.img")

And i think that i have tried all posible combinations. Seems that your update try to write ober ebr2, and without that partition the system doesn't want boot.

Other thing, su version that has included that rom is a bit problem, is in chineese (or japanesse, i don't know) and if u try use supersu... well... it tries but u can't change. And maybe the other bad thing of your rom is that xolo adds too much trash apps, xolo-app, that well... it makes system dirty

So now u running kitkat is it??
If yes then congrats
can u post some screen shots.
for root install supersu
when u run it, it will say u using other app and ask u to uninstall.
uninstall reboot and u get supersu english version

U very well know what to do with those apps, thats why we get rooted, simply delete them.

If at all u run kitkat
explain procedure for successful flash
i will add it in op.

also what about the internal and phone storage.
send ss in settings-storage

Bueno a modo resumen, ya que yo soy la parte MADE IN SPAIN implicada, os comento, y de paso le contesto a Avi3230:

[Version Española]:
Despues de probar e intentar varias cosas para ver si conseguia dejar toda la memoria interna en una unica particion, solo he conseguido hacer que funcione de 1 manera (gracias a Prou de Spotbros, la idea fue suya):

- 1º Descargamos el archivo flasheable de la 1.0.3 oficial de bq
- 2º Descargamos el archivo adjuto de Avi3230 donde esta la rom
- 3º Descomprimimos la carpeta 1.0.3 en el directorio raiz
- 4º Descomprimimos la carpeta adjunta en el post con toda la rom
- 5º Copiamos todos los archivos de la rom, en la carpeta 1.0.3, se sobreescriben 7 archivos.
- 6º Abrimos las SP Flash Tools, y abrimos el scatter que hay dentro de la carpeta )1.0.3, pulsamos firmware update, y con el telefono apagado, lo conectamos al ordenador.

Y ya esta

After try to solve the problem with primary partition, the only way to install the rom (special thanks to Prou from SpotBros, was him the idea) steps to follow:

- 1st Download oficial update from bq 1.0.3
- 2nd Download the link added in first post with the kk update
- 3rd Uncompress the 1.0.3 file on root folder
- 4th Uncompress the kk update
- 5th Copy all files from kk update to 1.0.3 folder. 7 files will be overwritten.
- 6th Open SP Flash Tools, and choose scatter file from folder (1.0.3), press firmware update, and with the phone turned off, connect to pc.

And that's all.

[SV] La memoria interna esta 2 particiones, 4 GB para aplicaciones y 9 para el usuario. Si se dispone de tarjeta instalada, instala por defecto en la SD, opcion seleccionable desde la seccion de configuracion -> almacenamiento

[EV] Internal memory is partitioned in 2, 4GB for apps and 9GB for user. If you have a memory card, will install by default the apps on SD, the option is choosable from configuration -> storage

[SV] En una primera instalacion pude elegir la maquina virtual de art, pero despues al ir probando formas de arreglar el almacenamiento, en la ultima instalacion que hice ya no puedo seleccionarla, parece ser que dependes directamente de alguna aplicacion que viene por defecto en xolo, pero no sabria decir cual.

[EV] in first install i could choose use art, but after try diferent way to solve the problem with storage, in last install i can't choose, seems that depends directly from any default app from xolo, but i don't know at the moment of what.

[conclusion española] Y espero que asi os hagais una idea de como esta el asunto. Funciona, pero no seguire haciendo pruebas, parece ser que para la semana que viene podriamos tener la oficial de bq, si veo que no es asi seguire "buscando" arreglar estos detalles.

[conclusion english] And i hope that you do an idea about how it is. Works, but i won't continue doing tries, seems that next week we could have official from bq, if i see that i won't happen, i will continue "searching" to solve these details

Probado y funcionando. Yo la he instalado con el archivo scatter de la carpeta del compañero Avi3230.
Una cosa que no me funciona es en la pantalla de bloqueo no puedo sacar las notificaciones, por lo demás funcionando y esperando la de bq.

noooooooooooo, no lo hagas... que lo de las particiones, te puede fastidiar... ademas, estarias con 4.4... y notarias demasiado cambio (a mi hermano le regale otro bq, y el suyo no se lo actualice y me mira con cara de querer ahorcarme)...

Lo de las particiones... estoy en ello, estoy viendo "opciones"... a ver si veo aunque sea un "post-script" que lo deje bien... pero... "on way" U_U
