As the company claims, it ioing to be the world’s thinnest, rugged business device on the market at only 12.6mm.
This may seem a bit much, but don’t forget it’s a rugged device we are talking about. And, although in the past such devices featured low specs, this one is a beast.
It features MT6750T octa-core SoC accompanied by 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In addition, the display is a 5″ FHD one with Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Lastly, its battery has a 3500mAh capacity with quick charge support. Of course, it supports LTE networks and will come in 3 colors.
Oh, there seems to be a fingerprint sensor as well!

The Vernee Apollo is not the first phone to feature the Helio X25 processor (you'll also find handsets from Xiaomi, Meizu, Elephone and LeEco), but it is the first to combine that processor with a 5.5in 2K screen (a high-resolution display is important for VR as the resolution is halved for each eye) and a VR headset in the box.

The Apollo is a nicely designed phone with a 6000-series aluminium body and, as we've already mentioned, a 2K (or Quad-HD) screen. We tested the grey version, which from the rear has nice clean lines with simplistic antenna bands and a slightly protruding camera with a Smart Touch fingerprint scanner below and dual-LED flash to the side.
The sides are slightly curved and with chamfered edges top and bottom, making this 5.5in-screen phablet easier to hold and manageable in a single hand, especially given its weighty 188g body. This also makes it seem thinner than it is, since at 9.3mm it's actually pretty chunky for a flagship phone with only a 3,180mAh battery inside. Also see: Best phones 2016
At the front you find 2.5D curved glass, which would flow smoothly into the metal frame were it not for the black plastic bezel that is very obvious as you run a finger across the surface. We presume this will add strength to the edges of the screen as you routinely take it in and out the VR viewer, though it does nothing for the aesthetics.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX will definitely enchant you when it comes to design and workmanship. When switched off, the Mi MIX looks like a black monolith. There is nothing on the front that suggests that this rectangular object is in fact a smartphone. Only at second glance do you notice the front camera in the lower right corner.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX leaves you with a general impression of high-quality. Unfortunately though, the ceramic case is prone to fingerprint marks and the smooth surface coupled with the relatively heavy weight of 209 grams doesn’t assure a secure grip and you often feel like the phone is about to slip out of your hand - inevitably falling to it’s irreparably damaged doom. But as soon as the (almost) borderless display shines, these niggling worries are washed away and it’s all you can do but stare at the display with pure amazement.

Vernee Apollo X World’s First 10-core Android 7.0 device
For Vernee, the Apollo Series is special because its flagship device is named like that. The Vernee Apollo, the first VR-ready Mediatek device. For that reason, the first model in 2017 will be Apollo X.*As stated in previous leaked information, the X is intended to become a Redmi Note 4 killer.

With a launch date in February, it will offer Helio X20 power and Android 7.0 to the budget category. Vernee wants it to be the world’s 1st 10-core device to receive Android 7.0 so there should be no delays in its release.

The Apollo X will be released this month and will be the first to launch with VOS (Vernee Operating System). VOS is said to be very close to stock android but will definitely come with some new features Vernee thinks is necessary to enhance users’ experience. VOS will also be available to all existing Vernee phone but the decision to use it will boil down to you.

The Apollo X is a special edition of Vernee’s Apollo series and will launch with a Helio X20 processor. The Helio X20 might be a chip from last year but it has proved that it can hold its own when it comes to performance and power consumption. The processor has ten cores arranged in a tri-cluster framework: 2 x Cortex-A72 clocked at between 2.1GHz to 2.3GHz; 4 x Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.85GHz; and 4 x Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.4GHz.

The Vernee Apollo X is actually quite a compelling smartphone in terms of specs. It comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IGZO display, which is made by Sharp, while the phone also packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The phone is fueled by the Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, and a 3,500mAh battery is also included in this package, and it is not removable. Speaking of which, MediaTek’s Pump Express quick charging tech is also a part of this package, you’re getting 9V/2A (18W) fast charging here, which will charge up this phone in no time. The phone’s fingerprint scanner unlocks the device in 0.1 seconds, says Vernee, and this handset is equipped with two SIM card slots, one of which you can use in order to expand the Vernee Apollo X’s internal storage.
