Drivers installation on Windows 8

Windows 8 has a security feature which will not allow you to install Unsigned Drivers or the drivers without digital signature.
If you are having trouble on your Windows PC because of this feature then you can simply Disable Driver Check Enforcement on your Computer.
Icon
To re-enable Driver Signature Enforcement, simply reboot your computer

First, press "win + I" to launch the charm bar, and click "Change PC Settings" at the bottom.

Then, go to "General", and scroll to the bottom of the page, click "Restart Now" button under "Advanced Startup" section.
Icon
Remember to save all your work first before clicking it.

The computer reboots to a "Startup Menu", then click "Troubleshoot"

Click "Advanced Options" at next screen

Click "Startup Settings" at next screen

Click "Restart button" at next screen

When your computer reboots another menu will appear.
Item# 7) is to "Disable driver signature enforcement".
Press number 7 or F7 to continue booting to Windows 8 with digital signature enforcement disabled.

Now when you install the driver you will get the following prompt, select "Install this driver software anyway"

Icon
To re-enable Driver Signature Enforcement, simply reboot your computer

Thanks for the tutorial! I think you should change the thread´s title to something like "Tutorial para instalar flashtools en Windows 8" (Tutorial to install Flashtools in Windows 8).

PD: Sorry for my english too, I´m spanish

En español (aunque no lo parezca lo otro se supone que es ingles ) :
Gracias por el tutorial! Creo que deberías cambiar el titulo del tema a algo como "Tutorial para instalar flashtools en Windows 8".

Thumbs up estaaa

flashtool is a S1 flashing software that works for all Sony phones from X10 to Xperia Z Ultra. They all use the S1 protocol for flashing firmwares. This program was originally made to flash sin files downloaded by SEUS or PCC. From time to time, sin files have been bundled into what is now well known FTF (Flash Tool Firmwares). That is the core of Flashtool and the reason of its name.
Flashtool can also easily unlock the bootloader of the phone using the BLU icon as far as the bootloader of your phone is unlockable
The flashing feature as well as bootloader unlock feature are available whatever the phone is recognized or not by the application. What is only mandatory for flashing is to own the FTF file according to the device you want to flash it on.
Why should I use flashtool ?
  1. Once bootloader unlocked, official sony tools do not work anymore.
  2. Using official sony tools, you can only upgrade. No downgrade possible.
  3. Using flashtool, you can choose what to flash and what not to flash. This said, many rooting scenarios are available implying kernel only downgrade to retrieve a patched rooting exploit and then flash back the right kernel.
You said unlocking bootloader ?
This process gives you the opportunity to flash custom roms such as CyanogenMod ROMs.
.
Many other features have been built-in so that Flashtool can also be used to (as far as the phone is recognized by Flashtool) :
  1. Root your phone
  2. Install recovery, busybox, custom kernels
  3. Clean your rom (remove /system/apps apps of your choice) (Be careful, unless you really know what you do, do not modify the default list. This can make your phone stuck at the SE Logo)
  4. Clear dalvik cache
  5. Optimize (install of JIT v2) (plugin for 2.1 phones only from 2010 line)
  6. Customize (installs apps found in the custom/apps folder of the flashtool)
  7. Edit any text file on the device
  8. Rebrand your device
