Hola

He aqui el Opensource completo del Vodafone Smart II

http://sourceforge.net/pro...alcatel/files

Si alguien se decide puede que tengamos un custom kernel y un bootloader desbloqueado

A ver que dice Roeddie?
i know about this sources on sourceforge from september....
back then i only had some weeks of linux eXperience.
so i am a newby in linux, i am not a genius on linux.

even so i can say that i am not like herocikxxx that with his 4 years of so called developing, this guy well developing nvidia drivers to ati hardware....
like his adreno 200 to VideoCore IV.

except that i onestly say that is complicated, linux is complicated but not impossible.
it's a enormous work, to develop something where/with limited drivers.
the linux proffessionals are spending years to make something work.
well even if it not the same as we all evolve and learn. and by now some brands offer
what alcatel don't offer.

let me explain better the real i mean real estate of mind.

the bootloader is locked, this guy george from greek forum, like u, cannot have a unlocked bootloader, becouse it's simply locked.
also he might try with boot.img or recovery.img to change the
ro.secure=1 into ro.secure=0
but it will not be enough, and now let's see why.

it's simple.
the bootloader is the key to all, what is all well boo.img, recovery.img and the rest.
now all of them come with an military 2048 bit lock key.
what is an military key of 2048 bit ?
well let's just simplified and resume it that is one of the most best guarded secrets in this world. by meaning that if someone can broke, hack this key, well that someone can hack into almost any available server, bank, and the rest.
for this reason i belive that the rsa key are strongly under super surveilance, and only a few can access this pandoras box.
in wrong hands and the ones with sick mind can do alot of harm.

returning to the locked bootloader, well the first check is in bootloader
he check himself, than the boot and so on....
it's a chain reaction, the checks are everywhere.

now all this can be avoid by making a bootloader without checks, when will be one unlocked, the rest boot and recovery will be stripped from the military 2048 bit key(s).

now also the bootloader.img can be stripped by the rsa key, but for this it must be an real expert that do knows where to write, and to test the device, becouse a wrong flash of bootloader means for most brick.
but an expert can reviewed by dissasamble it, wired to box, make contact and flash again, and from now this thing is repetative......
till it might be success. also this is not always at best, like i said it might break even so.

so bottom point is, that even if it will be an cyanogenmod, it will not be complete
and even worse it might miss functionality and it will be many of them, incomplete or even for ever not fixed. keep in mind that.

also u can not buy a device that cost less and expect to put cyano and belive that it will do wonders. for that u must be naive to think like this.

pro's
good gps, wifi, 3g data
posibility to yahoo, web navigate
it's small fits int jeans pocket, not like others that walk with a monitor in the pocket
has some decent custom rom's (mine is roeddie, that's me)
it's a budget android, and i think it made his money
i paid only 44.90 euros, and 10 euros more to sim network unlock
and 44.90 euros i really think that is the correct price for him.
i saw other payed more than 100 euros, and i think that for that price they have been roubed

the bads
bootloader locked
an outdated arm6 cpu with integrated graphics
very low end quality camera with low codec compression
no future updates (ics, jb)

well next time if u want something better, consider to buy a device that is more than 200 euros, why over 200 euros, simple becouse from that point the quality, future begins for android.
i have many friends with top end phones, iphone's, htc, sony, nokia *well nokia was sometime*.
and i might say that the quality is indeed up.
but i really i don't see the point why to spend 400 euros or more on a device.
for games ? for being a smartass ?
inside the hearts the technology makes people cold.
and this is a sad but the real reality.
and here at this remark i might not be understood by many.

anyway it's my opinion about this or about that.

in fact someone might release a ics for smart II, but also then vodafone will release smart 5.

cheers
