[HILO OFICIAL] Tablet 8" EHEAR MQ8 - Un Clon a la altura del iPad Mini (y con 3G!)

Hace un tiempo que venía necesitando una tablet no muy grande y con ranura SIM para tener 3G en cualquier sitio, y ya que la otra que tengo (una Chuwi v88) carece de ella, me puse manos a la obra intentando encontrar algo similar, y he encontrado ésta, la Ehear M8.

Voy a hacer una pequeña review, ya que la tablet la he recibido ayer. Como primera toma de contacto, comentaros que va genial en el tema de fluidez, mejor incluso que la Chuwi, pese a tener la mitad de RAM, tan sólo 1 Gb.

• Pantalla: La pantalla tiene las mismas dimensiones que las anteriores, con una pantalla IPS de 7.85 pulgadas de 1024 x 768 píxeles, y que seguramente ocurra como con la Chuwi v88, que compartan mismo hardware de pantalla que el iPad Mini.
  
• Procesador: cuenta con en un MediaTek MT8389 a 1.20 GHz de cuatro núcleos, y con un chip gráfico PowerVR SGX 544. De memoria RAM tiene 1GB, como ya comenté atrás.
  
• 3G: Una de las características notables de la tablet es que cuenta cuenta con 3G en bandas 900 y 2100 en WCDMA, cosa que muchos móviles no cuentan con la banda 900. También parece ser que se pueden realizar llamadas, por lo que vendría a valer como un teléfono convencional a efectos prácticos.
  
• GPS: Otra de las características es que cuenta con chip GPS, lo cual permitirá utilizar la tablet como navegador GPS y ubicarnos en Google Maps. Aún no he probado el 3G, ya que de momento no tengo una tarjeta microSIM.
  
• Bluetooth: Otra característica que merece la pena destacar, sobre todo si queremos conectarla unos cascos inalámbricos o similar.
  
• Cámara: He realizado pruebas con ambas cámaras y a mi parecer la calidad de los vídeos es bastante decentes. En el tema de las fotos, he hecho algunas y las que hace no son demasiado malas, aunque con una mayor iluminación se hubiese mejorado mucho más. Intentaré hacer algunas fotos con mayor luz para colgarlas aquí.
  
• Tiene algunas pegas, como por ejemplo que no cuenta con ranura para tarjetas MicroSD, pero con los 32 GB que tiene de memoria interna seguramente para la mayoría no sea ni neceario. Otra pega es que viene con la versión de Android 4.2.2, cosa que a día de hoy me parece anticuado que no vengan con Android 4.4 KitKat como mínimo, llevando más de 1 año en el mercado.
• Otra pega es que a pesar de ser en apariencia un clon del iPad Mini y de ser estéticamente iguales, en el apartado de las medidas no lo son, siendo la Ehear un pelín más ancha, lo que hace que las fundas rígidas del iPad no le valgan.

• dimensiones iPad : 19,9898 cm x 13,462 cm x 0,7112 cm

Intentaré ir actualizando el hilo con las cosas que vaya descubriendo, si bien la marca de la tablet es bastante nueva y no hay mucha scene detrás de ella, quizás nos llevamos una sorpresa y empezamos a encontrar cosillas por ahí. De momento según está va niquelada, así que por mi parte de momento, encantado.

Hola estoy pensando pillarme una, que tal se comporta con los juegos, no va algo justa con 1G de ram

Tras estar unos cuantos días con ella y haberla probado bastante, os comento los pros y contras que la he encontrado:

Contras:

• El almacenamiento para aplicaciones: escasísimo. Tan solo tiene 1 Giga, pese a contar con 32GB de almacenamiento interno, tan sólo han particionado 1GB para aplicaciones. Enorme error, puesto que a 4 aplicaciones que instalas ya no te permite instalar nada más, y tienes que andar moviendo parte de ellas a la memoria interna pera al final se llene igual. En mi opinión el mayor problema de la tablet, y que se podría solucionar si encontrásemos alguna manera de reparticionar el espacio, como se puede hacer un muchos otros teléfonos chinos.
• El no contar con ranura microSD. Me hubiese venido bien en más de una ocasión para pasar archivos de mi cámara deportiva y así utilizar para algo esos 32GB de interna...
• El altavoz no es muy bueno, suena alto pero la calidad deja bastante que desear. Comparado con otra tablet que tengo, la Chuwi v88, la gana en el tema de altavoz por goleada.

Pros:

• El rendimiento es excelente. No se producen lagueos de ningún tipo, ni navegando ni moviéndote por el sistema. Del mismo modo, los juegos que he probado (plants vs zombies 2, GOF2) es fluido.
• La duración de la batería es muy buena, perfectamente puede llegar a las 5 horas de uso, e incluso más según el rendimiento al que la sometamos.
• El arranque de la tablet es rapidísimo. En menos de 15 segundos desde que apretamos el botón tenemos la tablet funcionando.
• La ranura MicroSIM funciona perfectamente. He realizado pruebas de velocidad con una tarjeta de Tuenti (red movistar) y realiza conexión H+ perfectamente.

En principio eso es todo, si descubro alguna solución al almacenamiento lo comentaré por aquí. ;)

Al final respecto a redimensionar el espacio de la partición system, conseguí que me hiciesen unos archivos MBR para aumentar la memoria un desarrollador de XDA. Aquí os dejo los archivos y la conversación completa, para el que se anime a aumentar la memoria. En la conversación el usuario opina que es posible que los 32Gb de ROM sean fake, dado que al flashear sus MBRs la capacidad final no es la que él ajustó.

Rebember to flash in increase partition (1gb to ---->5-10-12 ecc )You will not have probelms,

but if you decrease partition (12gb to ---->10-8 -1gb ecc )probably you will lost all the app installed previously, and the tablet could ask to you to continue to format all data.
Remember also to copy the two ebr files (previously renamed in correct way like ebr1xxgb to real name ebr1 and the same to ebr2xx ---->in ebr2.

1 - In the MTK Droid Root, go to the root, backup, recovery tab and press the "To prepare blocks for Flash tools" and select the "files.md5" from the backup folder.

2 - Verify the Preloader mode drivers are installed, and disconnect the tablet.
3 - Run the Flashtool and select the scatter loading of the "!Files_to_Flashtool". Just select only the EBR files, verifying the path is correct to the "!Files_to_Flashtool"
4 - Press Download button and reconect the phone.
5 - If everything go well, the tablet will start with the new partition size.

Is this correct? If be, I'll do it today.

If you have had the official firmware you must only replace the original ebrs files in the firmware folder with the new two ebr files with the same name(remember) and after run flashtool select the scatter and when appear all the flag to the all firmware's files you must select the preloader and only the two files, make download and the procedure is end!

Edit: I made it, selecting only the EBR files (without the preloader) and when android boots, it gives this notification: "USB storage is damage". Is possible that you have to format again". In settings, storage, there only an Internal storage of 3,94 GB, without External storage.

Do I have to format, or anything else?

The previous step... To select the preloader is not always that need to be selected but sometimes the flashtool not start the process to flash so sometime must be selected to start the process to flash.

After doing the format of the usb storage, I did the flash of the 10gb EBRs, but now I only have 1,97 GB of internal (before I had 3,94 Gb).
How can I increase the internal storage?
