After many hours of work, VanillaEclair 5.0 is ready. This one has been compiled from CyanogenMod 5.0.8 sources, so kudos to him.

Even though this is a stable release, suitable for daily use, there might still be some bugs around. So please, before reporting any, please check post #3(up-to-date bug list). Please describe your problem and provide either a logcat(if it was a soft reboot, error or boot loop), or /proc/last_kmsg (if it was a hard reboot).

What is included:
- Everything that goes with Eclair
- All hardware working(GPS, A-GPS, lights, camera, A2DP etc.)
- Launcher PRO as the default launcher

VanillaEclair extras:
- 2.6.29 kernel with my own set of tweaks
- Facebook sync(you need to install Facebook app from Market)
- Built-in USB tethering(check post #2 for more info)
- Built-in Spare Parts(under Settings/System)
- FLAC audio support
- large APN list
- camera doesn't timestamp pictures anymore
- GPS fixes
- notification bar doesn't have round corners
- busybox, root &co
- music app can respond to long-press and short-press on the volume buttons
- new Apps2SD method that can be enabled from the settings

Please perform a FULL WIPE before flashing this. I won't provide support if you got errors and you didn't wipe for some reason. A clean install is always better!!!

A few known issues:
- You may get stuck on boot sometimes, right after A2SD is enabled. Perform an "adb reboot" and everything will be fine.
- Not all apps in Market are available.
- Multitouch does not work in some apps.

1. USB Tethering
I've managed to fix it with kosmiq's help. So, you can enable wired tethering from the menu(settings -> wireless and networks). But, when you disable it, you won't have ADB access. To regain ADB access, you either reboot or turn off then turn back on USB Debugging. That's all.

2. JIT
Enabling JIT is very simple. Pull /system/build.prop, comment the last line(add "#" in front of it), save, and push to /system. Then reboot. To disable JIT, pull /system/build.prop, and remove the comment, then push it back.

3. Screenshots

Bugs:
- not all apps are shown in market
- multitouch does not work with some apps

yo la llevo, ahora bien, no te puedo decir na, xq llevo toda la tarde exando la siesta, pero por lo menos wifi y datos bien, market bien, le cuesta un poco al principio como siempre, pero luego bien, y del resto ningun forzar cierre de momento. Ahora fozare un poco más.

yo es la primera froyo que pruebo y he de decir que me ha sorprendido, funciona todo de momento, la camara, los liveswallpapers, la galeria, aunque echo de menos algunos widgets, por ejemplo el del reloj.. y va rapidisima

otra cosa es que no se como desactivar la red de datos ya que siempre me conecto por wifi, alguien sabe como desactivarlo, esque se keda la E o la H esa y me dan mala espina, gracias

Esta es 2.1, no es froyo ;)

A ver si con esta nueva build8 se soluciona el problema del gps...(el sygic no piyaba los satelites)

Versión RC (build10) ya ha salido.

Build8 to RC(build10) changelog:
- fixed Facebook sync
- removed camera timestamp and fixed camera icon
- fixed some code errors
- another attempt to fix the boot issues -> if you cannot get past the Hero screen post your logcat here; I've added some debug logs
- improved GPS reception - it's the first time I could get a fix from inside my home

El gps tiene un bug que se conecta y desconecta. A ver si lo arregla en la version final de la rom

yo acabo de ponerla, de momento no encuentro diferencias con la anterior (build 10), como se activa exactamente el jit? que no lo entiendo muy bien lo que pone, ah y yo creo que esta de 2.1 tiene poco, es identica a las froyo no?
