IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: SUMMER HOLIDAYS AND THE XPERIA BETA PROGRAM

The summer holidays period is upon us in Europe. Also, the last planned release for the Xperia Beta Program has been already out for a couple of weeks (23.5.A.1.238).

It's time to move on and close down the community and the program. It has been a great ride, with lots of useful and detailed feedback from all of you—and we are really grateful for your incredible support.

Here you will find everything you need to know about the end of this edition of the Xperia Beta Program.


CLOSING DOWN THE BETA PROGRAM AND THE NEXT OFFICIAL RELEASE


All members currently running the last Beta software (23.5.A.1.238) or the current commercial software (23.5.A.0.575) will receive an over-the-air update to the next official Marshmallow release in the coming weeks.

Please note: If you are on the latest Beta, you will not need to roll back to the current commercial release (23.5.A.0.575). You are going to receive a brand new commercial release, which is being developed right now. All feedback given in the last couple of weeks is being used by the developers at this very moment.

There are no confirmed dates for the release of the next commercial version of the software. It depends on a series of factors, including approval by operators in different countries.


CLOSING DOWN ISSUE SUBMISSION THROUGH THE BETA APP


You will not be able to submit any issues from the Beta Feedback Application after the end of this week (Friday, 15 of July). You can still submit them for now—and you are welcome to do so in case you experience new issues.


CLOSING DOWN THE G+ COMMUNITY


This Google Plus community will be deactivated Thursday, 21 of July, around 8:00 a.m. If you would like to keep in contact with other fellow members, now it's time to add them to your circles. From Thursday next week you will not be able to access the community any longer.


IF YOU'D LIKE TO LEAVE THE BETA PROGRAM NOW


As explained above, you don't need to do anything specific—all members running 23.5.A.1.238 on their phones will receive an OTA update to the next commercial release. However, if you'd like to leave the Xperia Beta Program before that, you are free to do so. You just need to repair your software with our Xperia Companion tool, available here: http://support.sonymobile.com/global...ria-companion The tool is compatible with all participant phone models.

Don't forget to back up your data before using the tool, as all data will be erased. After repairing the software you will receive the current official release (23.5.A.0.575).

All phones in Europe running the 23.5.A.0.575 software will also be prompted to update to the next commercial release in the future, it doesn't matter whether you are a member of the Beta program or not.


WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?


After the community is shut down, you can still contact us through the e-mail XBP at sonymobile.com. However, due to holidays—it may take some time until you receive a reply from us.

In case of issues or help of any kind, please refer to Sony Mobile's support portal. You can find it here: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en The link is for the English version, but you can change the language easily.

Básicamente dice, que el programa Beta ha terminado y que próximamente sacarán una versión comercial de Sony aún sin fecha concreta.

La proxima OTA ya será la oficial, y sin Beta.
A mi esta versión .238 me funciona con total normalidad.
La bateria puede que me dure algo menos, pero es debido a que con la nueva carga la bateria no se llena completamente, aunque aparezca el 100%. Pero tambien me carga en menos tiempo.
Saludos a todos los compañeros de fatigas.

Pues si, ya se acabo el programa beta. Yo cuando este disponible la comercial formateare y flashseare la .238.
Pense que habria otra beta pero ya lo dan por terminado,

En partes son buenas noticias, ya que tendremos entonces Android Nougat en nuestros Z3. Aunque echaré de menos Android Stock, ya que seguro que le meterán toda la morralla de Sony...

Después de tener Android N desde la preview 3 (si no me equivoco) no estaría mal que lanzaran la final Stock y luego que ellos hicieran su versión con su capa y dar a elegir si Android N Stock o con la capa de Sony, pero como dices creo que después de la preview 5 (si sale) no creo que veamos la final para nuestro dispositivo, una pena porque una versión limpia haría que este Sony fuera aún mejor y tendríamos una experiencia prácticamente como la de un Nexus.

Yo si sale la final de Google como sí de un Nexus fuese para mí es la mejor opción que puede haber, sería el primer Xperia (excepto el Z Ultra Google Play Edition) en contar con una versión sin añadidos, pero me parecería raro que saliera esta versión y la oficial de Sony no, en cualquier caso coincido contigo en que el soporte no está mal, yo lo que le puedo achacar es que Android 6.0.1 la liberaron muy tarde (yo que soy libre, la recibí a principios de Julio) y la versión .575 ahora que acaba el programa Beta empezaremos a recibir las actualizaciones todos a la vez.
