It still is to earlier to conclude, but it seems now the battery doesn't drain as it used to, probably the problem is fixed, and it boots on latest baseband from BQ M5 original firmware 5.2.0 (Nougat Update)

So hopefully my initial feedback is not wrong, I see a improvement here on this new updated rom.


Also the kernel from RR roms which are bootable with the new recent Basebands from BQ are double the same (9 mb against 18 mb) if you notice it.

LluisR so far so good, really something weird happened on March on github, i'm now facing normal battery usage, with the added plus of updated baseband for nougat.

Even though BQ M5 is an excellent phone, we can't ignore the awesome new phone from BQ X2 which is going to be released tomorrow. Really BQ is a good brand.

Just an update on night light on this rom, it seems that it really not a bug but the development team behind rr doesn't seen to like very much night mode and rely more on livedisplay hence not working, I'm telling this because I have a tablet which is rr 5.8.5 compatible, reported the bug and the developer told that, they agree on disabling it, and next build from him is going to remove even the submenu.

Livedisplay is the major favorite from them all.

The RR team abandoned the development of Nougat some time ago, now they only keep Oreo

Yes you are right, no more development, but the user who made the rom only applied updates to the kernel if I'm not mistaken, it has Android security patch level of June 2018.


He/she displayed a link, I don't understand, but for you it must mean something, it's April Security updates.
