pues me acaba de suceder algo raro
he hecho lo que pusiste de quitar la bateria y volverla a poner y al encenderlo se me ha iniciado en modo recovery
por cierto, soy adrian que no me he presentado por el foro :P

vale te explico ve a este post http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=129504 descargate todo lo necesario, cuando vayas a utilizar el RUT arranca el telefono asi: Tecla de colgar+volumen arriba+power, conectas al pc y flasheas, yo estoy haciendolo y de momento va bien

pero veras resulta que todo esto ha sido porque recupere mi IMEI viejo y estaba actualizando la version, y ahora al volver al poner la 2.1.9 se me ha vuelto a cambiar el IMEI como temia -.-
el mismo tutorial me vale para recuperarlo?

Didn't quite understand the solution, could anyone translate how vtc resolved the problem ?
Phone is in fastboot mode, can't get it to recovery, have the same BOOTING RECOVERY FROM FLASH on screen.

Solved with "fastboot recovery recovery-a88ds-v1.6.0.2.img". After that I had a recovery menu and managed to unlock the phone and update it back to 2.1.9. Thank you for your help

I'm back.

This time I really managed to brick the Boston.
Tried to update to 2.1.90B , the 600mhz apanda but after the "download from sd finished" the screen froze and for 30-40 minutes it stopped doing anything.
Removed the battery to reboot the phone (nothing else worked) and then the phone refused to start : The power button just reuses to turn on the phone, so do the normal key combinations for recovery or fastboot and also tried every combination I could think of.

The phone is "dead" but it keeps charging, left the phone on charge for about an hour and the power button still refuses to work, tried to leave the phone with no battery for 10 minutes but still nothing.

Any ideas?

Try to boot in fastboot, you would notice nothing because normally it does not vibrate and probably the screen will be blank, but still wait for a few seconds to give time to boot and connect the usb cable and check if PC recognizes the device. Chances are that it would, then flash a recovery image and continue from there.

Are you using End + Volume Down + Power ?
Have you tried taking off the battery before booting ?
Do you have the correct drivers ?
Have you checked Device Manager if device appears with warning?
