VillainROM 12.0.0 based on HTC OTA update WWE 2.1.

Deodexed.

What works:

Livewallpapers (enable in Rosie config)
Gallery 3D (With Picasa sync)
Voice Search
Voice Dial
Desire lockscreen
Dalvik2cache by default
Automatic apps2sd, just create an ext partition on SD card and we do the rest.
Recovery ROM patched to wipe dalvik on /cache with wipe dalvik
Everything else

What isn't included:
Eclair Lockscreen

What has been added:

19MHz to 748MHz OC kernel
Multi language support (even Greek works!)
Wifi tethering (aNetShare)
USB tethering
AndChat IRC Client (Thanks to the author for permission)
Genie News Widget
compcache enabled and tweaked
low memory management tweaked. NO NEED FOR AUTOKILLER.
cpufreq values set for balanced battery power/cpu performance
Latest busybox
Bash 4.1 (type "exec bash" once you're adb shelled in)
Updated APNs list
Cleaned up kernel CPU frequency table for less battery intensive speed switching
Modification to the Amon Ra Recovery tool to facilitate proper wiping of Dalvik on /cache.
Latest Google Maps as of time of release

How to install:

Backup/restore
- Nandroid Backup
Wipe
- Wipe data
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Wipe SD:Ext (If you have apps2sd and/or an ext partition)
Flash
- Flash VillainROM12.0.0-Full-signed.zip
Reboot system now

A FULL WIPE IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST. DO NOT POST SUPPORT REQUESTS WITHOUT DOING THIS.

By all means try flashing with just a dalvik wipe, but if you have problems, wipe first and re flash.

firstly these files should work for any version of VR12 as this build doesnt contain the file which can break your OTA updates

JIT IS EXPERIMENTAL!!! - no complaints if your phone stops behaving because of it
OBVIOUS BUGS CAUSED BY JIT INSTABILITY
1. Phone will reboot for no apparent reason
2. Phone will just jump back to Bootanimation then load up again as normal for no apparent reason
3. Bootlooping for no apparent reason

do not make a topic about problems with this if you are running jit

flashearia, pero me da apuro que algo salga mal y yo a 400km de mi casa...
hay alguna pega con no formatear la sd?
la puedo instalar como cualquier otra?

Bajando. Lo del overlock a 748 me seduce. Los últimos kernels sólo llegaban a 710 y recuerdo haber probado mi Hero a 729 y sin problemas.

No tienes porque formatear la SD, haz un nandroid por si te sale mal y listo, puedes flasear sin problemas.

Y aparte las actualizaciones via OTA, y las mejoras que introduce, va a ser con la de modaco una gran Rom.

Y eso de que no funciona el Eclair Lockscreen, a qué se refiere??? Porque si no se puede desbloquear, que no creo, no la veo muy usable!

NO, lo que quiere decir es que las tengas en orden y sobre todo, que hagas wipe EXT, para que luego no nos vallamos quejando de que si me da FC no se qué, que si me va lenta, etc.....

Yo voy a hacer wipe FULL como hice con la última Villain. Este POST es el que estaba esperando anoche, ahora SI que me pongo a Flashear

Tras echar un vistazo al feedback que postean los usuarios en el foro de Villain, os pongo los posibles problemas/bugs que pueden darse en esta versión :

Resumiendo :

- Parece ser que no funciona el programa NEWS con su correspondiente Widget ( EL DE HTC 9
- Pequeña incidencia con adb, por un problema con la colorización al listar directorios ( si he entendido bien.. )
- No funciona el HTC_IME MOD por el momento, por lo cual hay que usar el de stock ( olvidándonos del Voice Input )
- Hay usuarios que tienen problemas para ver/descargar las aplicaciones de pago en el Market ( simpre puede usarse Market enabler )

Tengo una pequeña duda. Como hay que hacerlo para no utilizar el sense??
He probado de cambiarle el nombre al HtcLockScreen.apk pero nada de nada.

./adb shell mv /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apkx
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *
mv: can't rename '/system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk': Read-only file system

Una pregunta, no es demasiado un overclocking a 748 Mhz?? Merece la pena tenerla overclockeada respecto al kernell original ?? Hay mucha diferencia de fluidez ?? S2!!

Pon adb remount antes de meter eso. La partición /system está por defecto en modo de sólo lectura.
