Weather and Seasons
You control the weather in The Burbs, so if you've ever wanted to play rainmaker or enjoy an endless summer, this app is for you. Select weather effects by season or month and set a season interval by year, month, day, or hour.

Garden
If you like gardening, you'll love The Burbs. You can opt to plant a basic garden of marigolds, pansies, sunflowers, hydrangeas, or roses. If you have a particularly green thumb, you can customize your garden in many and varied ways. Add up to ten different plants, selecting for each the variety, growth rate (in seconds or fractions of seconds), growth stages, steady or random growth, and the time period before a dead plant starts to regrow. You can also choose to animate your plants so they sway back and forth. It's everything a gardener could want…without the weeds.

People and Cars
Just as in real life, people and cars in The Burbs move at random speeds, but you can set their max speed (slow, medium, or fast), depending on whether you'd like a Monday-morning or Sunday-afternoon kind of feel.
