Amazfit Support (Amazfit)

Dec 2, 00:23 PST

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting Amazfit Customer Support. We apologize if the product caused you any inconvenience!

What's the OS version of your mobile phone? Please kindly connect the watch to the Amazfit app and update it to the latest version 1.3.5.08 (GTR-47)/0.1.0.06(GTR-42). Then unpair the watch from the app and then re-pair it again to have a try.

As for the GPS issue, is it impossible to get GPS signal in the open space at all? Or the GPS data recorded is not accurate? Please kindly clarify.

And the GPS issue may be solved by the following:
1) Check if you have the newest app version as well as the newest firmware. If not, please update.
2) Before searching for GPS, please connect the watch with your phone and sync A-GPS.
3) Try searching in an open space.

FYI. Many external factors can affect GPS signals, such as bad weather may reduce signal strength, but generally do not affect its positioning. Electrical electromagnetic interference (a few users have occurred). Radio, strong magnetic fields will produce different degrees of interference. Inferior driving recorders will also interfere with GPS collection, under the shelter (in the building, in the vehicle, insulation paper, trees, metal components) will cause the GPS signal to be reduced. Please try to place the antenna in a position that can directly receive the GPS signal of the sky (such as the front window). The GPS signal has the best reception effect in the open area. High-rise buildings and dense high-rise buildings will have an impact on GPS signals. Relatively speaking, GPS signals will be better in open spaces. And we are trying our best to improve the signal quality and make sure more user experience will be satisfied. And for some customers complaining the GPS can't position faster, we've already released the latest version to fix it.

If it still doesn't work, please replicate the issue by starting a new workout. After you finish the activity, please submit feedback and send us your Amazfit ID here with the following steps:

1. Open Amazfit app and click Profile in the bottom right corner
2. Swipe up and find Feedback
3. Describe your issue and check Watch logs before Submit
4. Copy the User ID and send it to us
5. Send us the screenshot of the GPS route for this workout if the GPS data is not accurate
6. And please help answer the following questions so that we can assist you better:
1) Which country and city did you do the activity? And what time zone are you in?
2) Are there trees, tall buildings or mountains within 50 meters outside?
3) Did you move when searching for GPS? Please do not move before positioning successfully.
4) Tell us the exact time and date you do the activity.
5) And how long it takes for your watch GPS to position?
