The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. The official Android 8.0 Oreo update is now rolling out to the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ in Germany. As promised by Samsung, beta testers are first in line, with regular users on Nougat expected to get the update after 24 hours. Naturally, the update’s download size will be smaller for those running the beta, and if you’re one of them, you can download the update by tapping the Download updates manually option in the Settings » Software update menu.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Android 8.0 Oreo update
Samsung has taken almost two weeks to roll out the final version of Oreo after beta testing ended. The availability of the update will vary by region and expand in the coming days. The rollout today started with firmware version G955XXU1CRAP for the Galaxy S8+ in Germany. It weighs 487MB and comes with the latest February 2018 security patch. It goes without saying that Oreo will soon be live for beta testers in other markets as well.

El día que todos hemos estado esperando finalmente ha llegado. La actualización oficial de Android 8.0 Oreo ahora se está extendiendo al Galaxy S8 y al Galaxy S8 + en Alemania. Según lo prometido por Samsung, los probadores beta son los primeros en la línea, y se espera que los usuarios habituales de Nougat obtengan la actualización después de 24 horas. Naturalmente, el tamaño de descarga de la actualización será más pequeño para aquellos que ejecutan la versión beta, y si usted es uno de ellos, puede descargar la actualización tocando la opción Descargar actualizaciones manualmente en el menú Configuración »Actualización de software.
