Ya que el tema está todo muy perdido, intento recopilar aquí para ahorrar tiempo a otra persona:
Si el proceso es igual al de Exynos, supongo que este video como guía viene bien:
For G9700 root is the same as Exynos:
- You download the full firmware ( your current firmware) extract it and you copy ap file to your sd card then you patch the ap as tar in magisk
(Este para el 9700 TGY

- Then you copy back the file to your computer
- And you flash it in Odin in the AP slot.
- Reboot and wipe data
- Boot up back to system install magisk app and follow the steps done
- You are now rooted.
