Te cuento:
1ero he echo el bootloader, que me llevo lo mio pero al final lo conseguí, jeje
2º: hago todos los pasos que comentas, modo ajustes....etc hasta descargar el archivo que facilitas (el rootpack)
3º: Comentas que hemos de hacer esto:
Extraer el rar de forma que os quede la carpeta files por un lado y el archivo runme.bat en otro ya que este depende de la carpeta. NO lo pongais dentro de la carpeta files o no iniciara.
A partir de ahora conectais el telefono en MODO ALMACENAMIENTO MASIVO y hecho esto cuando veas que podeis acceder a la SD ejecutais el archivo RUNME.bat
de entre las opciones que nos da, pulsais la 1 y esperar. Cuando termine, el móvil se reiniciará y ya tendremos root nuestro terminal. Para comprobarlo tendremos que ir al menú de las aplicaciones y buscar si hay un llamada "Superuser", si es así el proceso ha sido realizado con éxito.
Yo extraigo el archivo y lo coloco en una carpeta en el escritorio, que al abrir hay la carpeta runme y la de files, tal y como comentas
pincho en Runme y me sale todo esto:

COmo observas no se me hace el root porque al final no me aparece la carpeta superuser y con droidwall no me deja bloquear nada, por lo que sé que no se realiza correctamente
Pero no sé que es lo que falla.
Espero haberme explicado bien y que me puedas ayudar
pd: a la vez quería comentar que tras el root ¿puedo poner la room oficial de htc? Porque me interesa quitar toda la "morralla" de movistar
