Dear Ofans,
Today we’re releasing a new
Firmware Upgrade for OPPO Find 5 that contains changes based on your earlier feedback.
// CHANGELOG /
Upgrading from the previous X909_EN_13_130328 version you will find the following changes:

- Added the Weather app, widget and lockscreen
- Added a setting to hide the operators name in the notifications bar
- Pre-installed OPPO Forums Mobile app
- Optimized a rare issue that would cause the screen to stay black after switching on for some people (Reported by sn33ky)
- Merged Qualcomm's msm_hsic_host wakelock bug fix (Reported by PaulOBrien)
- Fixed a issue where no Messages notifications would be received when under password protection (Reported by yawn)
- Fixed a rare issue where some contacts wouldn't be displayed in Messaging (Reported by Knite75)
- Optimized voice messaging with Facebook Messenger
- Optimized camera Burst Mode shutter sounds to match the actual amounts of images taken
- Removed the background process DigitalPenSDK (Reported by Knite75)
- Fixed a rare issue where the system would reboot when updating Google apps from Play Store
- Fixed a rare permissions bug that caused the system to reboot when downloading Play Store apps
- Fixed an issue where the Clock widget would sometimes have difficulties displaying multiple cities.
// HOW TO UPGRADE /
WARNING:All your contacts, SMS and previously installed applications including their data will be lost when updating with the complete package! Your files such as photos and videos will remain untouched. Please make sure you backup before upgrading! If you prefer to keep your current settings, please install the OTA version!
Upgrading via System Recovery
1. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
2. Copy the firmware upgrade package into your phone.
3. Turn off the phone.
4. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons to enter recovery mode.
5. Select “apply update from sdcard”/"手动选择安装包" by navigating using the Volume buttons and and using the Power button to confirm.
6. Use the volume keys to navigate and the power key to select and confirm.
7. Select “reboot system now”/"立即重启系统" after the installation finished.
Upgrading with Offline Mode (Will wipe user data)
1. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
2. Copy the firmware upgrade package into the root folder of your phone.
3. Open the System Update app found in the Tools folder (or go to Settings > General > About phone > System update).
4. Tap “Local upgrade” to select the upgrade package.
OTA (Over-the-Air)
Starting from this firmware version, OTA updates will not be provided with every update. You can still upgrate using the patch only version to keep your data in tact.
