The device is amazing, we have the actual production devices and not the pre-beta devices, i can tell you right now the screen is in no way washed up or similar to the screens you have seen. I was told by a sony reprisentative that the reason the screen looks washed out is because they had to get so many devices ready in order for CES, devices that would be disposed of after the event, they decided to use cheaper materials, thats including the screen and the whole device, i mean they even produced the sony logo on a protective film rather than the device itself. They gave us the final product and seriously it's so amazing to look at, it's so clear and the screen is just so amazing, for a mobile phone i mean WOW! You will see what i mean when you get the device yourself. The apps are really nice, the new ui is fluid and you can see hints of project butter here and there, sony have really come in this time. Some features include sony's lost device program, meaning you can wirelessly locate and ring the device if it gets lost, screen collaborator, it comes with more features, and comes with an immediate firmware update including a few bug fixes and all. My boss allowed me to test the device outside for filming some video footage and the camera is SUPERB, seriously the sensor used on the xperia Z is the same type you would expect on a DLSR, whats more we were aloud to drop test the device, i dropped it 6 foot high on concrete and it survived, not even a scratch i swear!
