In regards to non-NEON devices and their future, the way I see it, we have 3 options:

1) Kill all non-NEON devices
2) Educate and use fapps
3) Educate and encourage non-NEON gapps and/or fapps

In light of this, I have written 3 draft posts. We can make a decision and go-live with whichever we choose.

Personally, I'd hate to see all these devices dropped when we have a viable workaround and it is a technical limitation not solely in CM source. I much prefer option 2 or 3, over outright dropping support.

Personal opinion, not binding in any way: All (or at least most) efforts to "educate" we've done in the past have failed. Our collective social media followers put together add up to less than 10% of our installed base. As much as I would like to believe otherwise, we don't have that loud a voice, and this isn't the kind of thing that would be repeated in more traditional online media, blogs, and the like.

In other words, I don't believe that options 2 or 3 would work.
