1. Wipe cache/factory reset should be enough

2. Flash ROM and GAPPS 4.2.
4. Change keyboard suggestions n corrections for stock keyboard
That's it! You're good to go!
If you have downloaded CM10.1 beta 2.2, delete it. You can directly flash beta 2.4. No need to flash 2.2 first and then 2.4. I have done this, was on Mazel II 4.0.4 ROM before and flashed to CM10.1 beta 2.4.
Also, you need to download the kernel patch provided by Adam and then the display fix packaged up by The-Droidster.
Alternatively if you want, mj.vikram has provided a fix for gtalk video and keyboard (Although the keyboard fix disables swyping to enable corrections and predictions)
If you want you can try using third party keyboards like swype.
