We're introducing new properties, it will not auto restore your properties. And you shouldn't restore this time unless you do it manually.
00000000 is a normal color now (full alpha). If you want stock color, there's a new button inside the colorpicker. Tap it, it generates a "NULL" string, which tells hybrid engine to back off.
If you use themes switch off per app color. The switch is in the interface section. You do this because themes provide opaque icons, they can not easily be tinted and would become solid chunks, which you don't want.
You can in theory color lockscreen, appdrawer and recents. This is an experimental poweruser feature though and not meant for prime time. If it concerns you you will know what to edit by looking into properties.conf. One slight caveat for lockscreen: we thought it would be a good idea to use the android core process (android.colors=...) but its not, because other system apps will be affected aswell. This will definitively be changed to a dedicated property soon.
