Por fin, lo he conseguido!!! No soy tan patán
Bueno, me ha costado, pero yastá. Para los que tengan problemas con el HTC_IME (teclado tipo Hero) pueden probar esto.
1) Descargar el APK que Cyanogen publica (
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567294).
2) Descargar el fichero libt9.so (
http://www.anieto2k.com/android/libt9.so lo subo aquí por si alguien lo necesita).
3) Desde consola hacemos lo siguiente:

adb remount
adb push HTC_IME.apk /system/app/HTC_IME.apk
adb push libt9.so /system/lib/libt9.so
adb shell reboot (no hace falta, pero no está de más).
Entonces ya estará disponible para seleccionar y usar.

Para tener Clicker (el calibrador del teclado)

adb shell reboot (lo mismo que antes, no está de más :D)
