Segun leo en XDA se puede cambiar el Baseband y luego aplicar el parche, pero yo no lo he probado
"If your baseband version is different, you can try to change it to the one that works (nandroid backup first ) by downloading Baseband(EPU93_U_00.59.01).zip, and extracting its content to /sdcard/, and typing in terminal emulator:
su (enter)
dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk1p14 of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p14 (enter)
Reboot.

vamos, que dice que si tu baseband no coincide con nignuna se puede probar a flashear el baseband correcto (previamente hacer un nandroid) e instalar el hack para el susodicho baseband ;)
