HTC One X and One S Up for Pre-Order in the UK via Carphone Warehouse
SHARE:

HTC One series of smartphones was officially announced by the Taiwanese company back in February at the Mobile World Congress 2012. HTC has teamed up with multiple carriers in all regions to offer these smartphones from April.

Phones4U was among the first to accept pre-orders for two HTC One series phones, the One X and One S. Both have been up for grabs since March 15. The major retailer still offers the handsets for free on select plans from Orange, Vodafone and O2.

Today, SoMobile reports that HTC One X and One S have been introduced by another major UK-based retailer, namely Carphone Warehouse.

The company offers the same deal as the Phones4U, so expect to be able to grab them for free on a 24-month £36 contract (HTC One X), or on a 24-month £31 tariff (HTC One S).

As soon as the HTC One X hits shelves, it will become the company’s Android flagship smartphone. It comes equipped with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and packs 32GB of internal memory and 1 GB of RAM.

HTC One X sports a hyper-vibrant 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Each smartphone boasts an impressive 8-megapixel rear photo snapper, which features HTC ImagingTechnology, autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. They also feature secondary front-facing cameras for video calls.

When it comes to power, the One S is not totally outperformed when put against the One X, as the phone is equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon (Krait) processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. The One S embeds only 16GB of internal memory, and the same amount of RAM, 1GB.

Obviously, both are running Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform with HTC Sense 4.0 UI. According to Carphone Warehouse, HTC One X and One S are expected to arrive in stock within the next two weeks.
