Rooting the Magic/Sapphire
First of all, everyone owes
Haykuro a great big thanks for working on this and helping create the solution without even owning a magic. The following is his method just reworded slightly.
- Download Haykuro's Magic "rootme" rom (Mirror) and the Magic modified recovery
- Unzip the recovery-new.img.zip file (do not unzip the rootme-signed.zip file)
- Enable USB debugging on the device in settings->applications->development->"USB Debugging"
- On your device, enter the bootloader by trying one of the following
- Turn off your device and while it is off hold down back while you press power.
- Turn off your device and while it is off hold down volume down while pressing power
- Make sure your usb cable is inserted and you have Fastboot and ADB installed and ready to use.
- Type the following commands on your desktop (not on the device):
- adb push rootme-signed.zip /sdcard/update.zip
- adb push recovery-new.img /sdcard/recovery-new.img
- fastboot boot recovery-new.img
- Apply your update, reboot (using HOME+BACK, or via selection), and allow it to boot fully. Upon a complete boot enter the following command on your desktop (not on the device):
- adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-new.img
- To get the hacked SPL (to be able to apply nandroid backups and etc) download haykuro's SPL update and copy it to your sdcard.
- Reboot into recovery mode by powering off, and holding HOME+POWER
- Apply update.
Wenas lo acabo de realizar por este metodo ahora los pasos a seguir seria.
1. Descargamos
Haykuro's Magic "rootme" rom (
Mirror) y el
Magic modified recovery.
2. Descomprimimos el archivo recovery-new.img.zip (El archivo rootme-signed.zip lo tenemos que dejar sin descomprimir ).
3. El telefono tiene que estar en modo debug para ellos nos vamos a AJUSTES->APLICACIONES->DESARROLLO->DEPURACION USB
ACTIVADO
4. Nos explica como meternos al modo
Fastboot y recuerda q tenemos que tener el sdk con
Fastboot y ADB instalado.
5.Con el movil encendido ejecutamos estos comandos en la consola del ordenador.
- adb push rootme-signed.zip /sdcard/update.zip
- adb push recovery-new.img /sdcard/recovery-new.img
(el archivo rootme pesa 38 mg esperar un rato hasta q se copia) Despues de estos dos comandos apagamos el terminal y nos metemos en el modo Fastboot ( apagar + volver) y escribimos:
- fastboot boot recovery-new.img
El movil se reinicia y nos aparece la nueva imagen con el nuevo menu (funciona la bolita pa moverte).
6. Elejimos la opcion reiniciar [HOME+BACK], una vez reiniciamos ejecutamos el comando
- adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-new.img
7. Para terminar nos decargamos
download haykuro's SPL update y lo copiamos a la SD sin descomprimir.
8. Apagamos el movil y pulsamos HOME + POWER y entramos de nuevo al menu personalizado.
9. Elejimos la opcion Apply update. Esperamos a que se instale y reiniciamos el movil.
