Bugs :
Fingerprint freezes after sometimes around 5-10 mins after screen lock, this is very very annoying.
Fingerprint unlock very very slow compared to miui 9.6. I was previously on Miui 9.6 version.
Battery drain is way faster than 9.6. Clearly not expected, probably an intentional move.
Wall paper keeps changing every minute and there is no way to change the frequency, why?? Mindless change this by Xiaomi. Earlier this option was there.
Default font size is "S" (small) which is very uncomfortable and not changed in this version also. If we increase the font size to "M" then many apps don't display contents properly. E.g. Icici bank, HDFC bank, Yono, Amamzon, Ola and so on. There are plenty. I had given this feedback so many times through feedback app, but xiaomi doesn't seem to have done anything to sort this out. Very very annoying. I have not observed this problem in stock android.
Lock screen owner info gets split into two lines after certain length which looks awful. You also can't control which texts will appear in first line and which one in second line.
Google calender notifications automatically vanishes after 8 counts.
Miui calendar notifications automatically vanishes after 10 counts.
VPN gets disconnected if VPN app is cleared from recent apps. This issue was not there in miui 9.5 and started with 9.6 version but till date it is not resolved.

Notification menu and design is still not user friendly.
Mi Music is discriminatory. Default page is always hungama music and there is no option to change it to local one. The favorite tab shows local favorite songs list, but it doesn't show favorite album, playlist, artist for local songs. These 3 categories work only for hungama music. There is no option to disable hungama at all. Don't know why xiaomi is forcing people unnecessarily.
Recent call list now shows info in 2 lines instead of 3 in Miui 9.6. Earlier it used to show number and location in second line and Call time, duration and incoming/outgoing in third line. Now you can't see full info and you have to go to details to check duration. Don't know what's the pathetic logic behind this change.
Gallery now has creativity option in the bottom panel and when you click it, it shows only one option of "collage". Then why can't you directly have collage option rather than creativity and then collage? Probably xiaomi will add more options in next update but then they should have added creativity label at that time, why increase clicks now?? Very pathetic logic.
Clock app design feels like a downgrade. At least there should have been an option for light theme instead of all dark.
Miui Calendar saves events even in past time. Why would someone create a backdated event? It may also lead to save events in past accidentally sometimes. There should be a warning before saving such events.
Android security patch is 01-Dec-2018 even though update is released on 31-Jan-2019. This shows xiaomi is struggling to release stable ROM fast.
No option for dual VoLTE even though SD625 is capable.
Incoming call screen looks very dull. Also, the option of wallpaper based incoming call screen is now removed.
Quick access panel doesn't show labels and hence w ehave to expand it fully to see info such as wifi connection name.
Good things :
Recent apps panel is the best, google should learn from xiaomi.
Quick access panel is much batter than 9.6. 2 page option is much needed one.
Quick access also supports oreo compatible app icons which is a welcome change. I had open camera app installed earlier and it now shows three icons of this app - Camera, selfie & record video.
Security app design is much pleasing.
Volume slider design is a welcome change.
Default volume is now media instead of ringtone, this is a smart move.
'Follow us' option is included in setting to give correct page link to people. This will help less tech savvy people to prevent use of misleading/counterfeit pages.
Hope Xiaomi resolves the fingerprint bug immediately before releasing stable version to all. Because it is absolutely annoying and great inconvenience."
