Android P/9 blocks call recording for 3rd party apps.
Some phones are able to record from the earpiece speaker. Please try setting audio source to MIC, recording format to MP3 and audio gain to 14 under ACR Recording Settings.
Although it is inconvenient, you can also try using loud speaker during the call to record other side.
