I'm happy to volunteer, but building ROMs is totally new to me. As I mentioned, I only have the one phone so I'm not willing to risk my phone, at least not at this early stage, but I'm certainly willing to collaborate on building a ROM.
I do have access to a Linux VM, and have attempted to build a ROM. But I don't know what I'm doing, so any guidance would be appreciated. The steps I've run through are documented at

My confusion lies in the steps I need to take / changes I need to make in order for the
make command to build a ROM, specifically targeting the VF-895N. Any advice?
