I understand your concern and would regret to inform you that as of now we are not having any specific update regarding the release of Global Rom for Mi 5X. However, our technical team is working on this. Also, would request you to stay updated on our forum page http://en.miui.com for more information.

Also, would like to inform you that in order to enhance our mobile security, the unlocking mechanism for Mi 5x is being updated currently. During this period, Mi 5X owners won't be able to unlock the device. Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. However, would request you to wait for sometime in order to unlock the Bootloader of your device.
