The only reason that i can think of is the camera sensor had some dead pixel be it red or white blinking or not.

I purchase my self at 13 april and did a 1 to 1 xchange on the spot after i purchase cause i realise there dead pixel on the LCD itself. After exchange and i went home realise the camera had a few dead pixel had to be very sharp eye then u can view when shotting at pure dark place. It only happen to the camera sensor not the video mode or LCD itself. Then i did a research over at the internet and confirm tat it was a camera sensor problem but well like many say 1 or 2 out of million of pixel not a really big issues. Some digital camera out there like my G90 had the same problem.

At 14 april morning i went down again, the staff was very nice and allow me to exchange another set and i realise all the set (he brought out 3 brand new) including all the demo set u see at comm center had the same defect. Thus i decided not to change as is a same problem across all the set that i see on the spot. He help me to call sony and review the problem and write some email to them. The manager also did came to me and we double check the problem.

If i assume correct they mind be recalling to check on the camera sensor.
If u wan to check ur set (i am a very picky person and the pixel need to have very sharp eyes to spot) took the staff there a while to spot it too , go to a pure dark room and focus ur camera a few time. u will spot tiny small blinking red or white dots. Some will move went u try to zoom in them
