Bueno, veo que la gente usa mucho ambos términos y como no me aclaro he buscado por mi cuenta a ver si la gente que lee esto también se aclara o me corrige...

Llevo en Android desde que tengo la Hero y siempre he oído hablar de la radio. Pero desde que tengo la Desire, hace unos meses he visto como la gente habla de RIL y no sabía qué era esta nueva y desconocida (para mi) palabreja.

Primero, un amigo me ha pasado este link pero claro, me he dado cuenta que eso es de Windows Mobile ya que tanto esta metido en ese foro como que me habla de dlls.

Por otro lado también he visto esto en xda, un tío con la misma duda que yo y que más abajo le contestaban esto:

A RIL is like a driver pack that is optimized to work with a specific radio. So if you are running a certain Radio, say Radio XYZ, then for the best performance (ie wifi signal strength, battery life, raw performance), you would want the corresponding RIL (which would happen to be the RIL for XYZ.
Running a specific Radio's RIL is not necessary, but recommended.


A word on bumping - There are lots of knowledgable people here on XDA; perhaps it is unwise to 'diss' them simply because you haven't received a reply in under a day. Relax, someone will always answer your question, except (in the case of this thread) when the question being asked has been answered before, multiple times (i know this as i have answered it myself a couple of times).

Pero vamos... que tampoco hay algo tan específico aquí en htcmanía... sí lo hay de radios pero no de RILs... A parte que en móvil sí se puede ver la versión de la radio (Versión Banda Base) pero nada acerca de RILs...

¿Viene ya implícito con la radio o que?

¿Alguien podría comentar algo o que ilumine a este humilde usuario?
