yo, por lo regular, hacia la instalación completa, pero creo que también se puede solo haciendo full wipes e instalando.
si se hace asi afectaria las aplicaciones instaladas y los datos guardados ??

Segun la pagina oficial de slim :
2. Updating SlimRoms while on the same Android version (e.g. slimkat to slimkat) without losing data/apps (Dirty flash):
- Note that we don’t recommend this method as it might subject users to miscellaneous bugs.
- Download latest
SlimRoms and latest
gapps and put them on your sd card
- Boot to recovery
- In CWM, wipe cache, dalvik and format system in mounts and storage section
- In TWRP choose advanced in wipe section and wipe cache, dalvik and system
- Flash ROM
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot
- If you face any problems or bugs do a clean flash before
reporting.
Lo que seria ir a TWRP , wipe cache, dalvik cache y system, flashear la rom y luego las gapps.
