This is just to fix the wifi not disconnecting bug,
it is a stock kernel fix so if you are running any other kernel, you don't need to update from 4.9 to this.
If you are on 4.9, you can just replace the boot.img with fastboot
"fastboot flash boot mako-L-4.9.1boot.img"
