Visited a friend who works at the head office. Got to play with 2.1 on the x10 there. Very smooth, seems almost ready. Looking forward to its release

The status bar is bigger, which I don't like. The star wars style animation on the menu is removed, the colour seems to have been extended, no banding visible at all. It was running the latest build, called update 2

You know when you scroll in eclair through the app icons, they kind of flip over at the top and move into the distance. They removed that. Don't know why.

I didn't really fully check out media scape because it was a personal phone and I didn't really want to go through his stuff. But I guess the fact he's using it on his personal phone says something about how polished it already is

acually this upgrade being handed out to SE top devs and some of SE's closest contacts, is the final build of x10's 2.1 update, its gonna release as is, SE will release a newer update later on using the same core 2.1 to address any issues found by the current testers and issues reported by x10 users all over the world when the update is out
