SVS and
AVS?
Static Voltage Scaling will change the voltage based on a set table created by the kernel maker. Example: At a certain speed, say 245MHz, 925mV is feed into the CPU. At 998MHz, 1225mV is used.
Adaptive Voltage Scaling will change the voltage depending on temperature and CPU needs. Example: At cpu speed 998MHz, the voltage can vary as low as 925mV (or 800mV depending on kernel). AVS will figure out if its safe to feed 925mV to a 998MHz CPU speed. Now for
maximum battery savings, you will want to keep the max at or below 1075MHz. At those speeds AVS is used. Any speeds higher then 1075MHz, SVS is used in order to maintain stability.
