Para todos aquellos que actualizamos via OTa a Froyo y nos metió el Hboot 0.92 ya podemos revertir el proceso, reinstalando el 0.80 de nuevo, para asi poder rootear:

The User

thread where they describe how you can downgrade to 0.80 again.
So i try to explain how you have to do it.
I'll be reworking this tutorial with some more details and screenshots/pictures so stay tuned!
!!!! ROOTING/FLASHING/DOWNGRADING IS ALWAYS ON YOUR OWN RISK !!!!
Attention: This method will completely wipe your phone!!!
Preparation
1. Make a NEW Goldcard (
here) Maybe it's working without too
2. Download PB99IMG.zip (
here -
MIRROR2 -
AdamG Mirror -
Fast NL MIRROR by laav)
3. Rename the downloaded file to "PB99IMG.zip" [NOT zip.zip !!!]and copy it onto your SD Card.
Flashing
1. Shutdown your mobile
2. Hold Volume DOWN and press power
3. wait until PB99IMG.zip was found and checked
4. Press Volume Up <yes> - PICTURE 1
5. Wait until all steps are done. DON't POWER OFF YOUR DEVICE!!! - PICTURE 2
6. After flashing press Volume Up to reboot
7. done
Re-Rooting
1. Uninstall HTC Sync completely
2. Download unrevoke recovery
here
3. Download the unrevoke recovery USB driver
here and install them!
4. Enable USB debugging on your phone.
5. Start unrevoke and follow the instructions
6. if unrevoke has completed you should be in custom recovery.
7. now you can apply an custom zip file with your desired ROM (if you have copied it to your SD before
)
Known Problems
If you have problems while re-rooting or custom recovery (unrevoke) try to downgrade again with the above procedure.
Make sure you have made a new goldcard.

Yo tengo libre la desire y solamente copiando el archivo a la Sd no hace falta goldcard, acabo de hacerlo y funciona perfecto
