To up to 600Mhz, you need to compile a new kernel that supports it. i try to make a boot.img with overclock options, but don't work for me.
The only secure way to modify a system.img is inside the phone, certs of apanda firmware...
But you can change sign of your system.img from pc with an hex editor.
