iPega en G3S

Como todos sabeis nuestro G3s no es compatible con el DualShock 3, y como soy muy jugon me decidi por comprar el pad inalambrico iPega, comentar que funciona perfectamente, lo unico que no soy capaz de encenderlo en modo Joystic :roto2: pero bueno, menos es nada, aqui os dejo un video funcionando con diferentes juegos :ok:

Fantástico vídeo! Nunca he sido de jugar con mi android, por que sinceramente no sabia que había tantos juegos y tan buenos.

Por cierto yo ya estoy esperando el mío =) habrá que ver que juegos son compatibles
en principio se que los emuladores de gbc/gba/nds sí lo son, pero no he encontrado uno de psp decente

Anyway, I have a Jiayu G3S (with the mtk turbo processor) and I am thinking about getting a controller like the Ipega or the Wamo. I would like to make sure the gamepad works on my phone before I buy it. Does your gamepad work in android 4.2.1? Did you have to install any apps to get it to work?
Do the controls work in N64oid, gameboid, drastic and ppsspp? Thank you very much!

I've never heard about Wamo gamepad.
All jiayu devices come with 4.2.1, so yes, It works.
At the moment, I've tested ipega with drastic, John gba and ppsspp and it works fine.
All games and emulators that allows key mapping are compatible with ipega.

I haven't, but I will try it this weekend.
I just want the pad to play n64, nds, gba roms with. If ppsspp works reasonably well I would see it as a very nice adition to the list.

Tested ppsspp, Loco Roco works great on my jiayu G3S T
haven't tried other games yet, but i did order my ipega controller.

As of now, the Jiayu G3 /G3S/G3S Tubro should be compatible with playstation 3 controllers. I have not tested this yet, but the sixaxis compatibility checker confirmed that my Jiayu G3S Turbo is compatible.

Still no spanish, but on the ipega controller there are diferent modes. The joystick mode doesn't work on my Jiayu G3S, but it works in keyboard mode.
However, there is some delay/lag when I press the buttons in a game (in keyboard mode). So it is a fun gadget, but I would not buy if I knew about the lag.
Is there a solution for the lag?

I would like to buy, but if you say there are many errors for example the lag, I don't know if there are other gadgets like this that can work in this smartphone.

It is not that easy to get it to work for the first time. You have to instal some drivers you have to find online, wich I can link to if you want.
I will try to get a Playstation Sixaxis controller this week, and I will test it to see if it's better than the ipega controller.
I have a friend who wants to lend me his ps3 controller, so if i get to meet him this week I will report my experience. (Perhaps you could order a fake ps3 controller if it works better than the Ipega, it is also cheaper).

For now it is still not possible to use the ipega controller in Joystick mode on the jiayu G3. Wich is a shame because there is a noticeble lag on the keyboard mode. It's not that bad, no problem for RPG's (like pokemon on emulators, or final fantasy) but it's a little bit annoying in super mario (-like) games for me.

Check this thread again later to see my experience with the PS3 controller on android, or post your own if you tested it.

Good news! I have hooked up a ps3 controller to my jiayu G3S(t) and it works great.
No input lag, no hassle with searching for drivers. True analog support.
Just instal sixaxis controller app, connect the controller to the pc to set it up for the right bluetooth adres and presto! Full control of your games.

Pros: Easier to set up than the ipega controller, feels better, can use both analog sticks for games (could not do this with Ipega in keyboard mode), easy touchscreen emulation controls.

Cons: No clip to attach phone to the controller, Less compact.
Have to make one by yourself (ex. http://imgur.com/a/h2v3z)

To set the touchscreen emulation controls you can make a profile for the specific game.
Start the game, make a screenshot (with the touchscreen controls visible on it), add button asignments on the screenshot within the sixaxis controller app.

Works on every game i tried so far, including modern combat & emulator games (gba, n64, Playstation, psp,...)

No se puede activar ese modo, incompatibilidad con Mediatek supongo, para todo lo demas DualShock + gameklip

Ya, postee esto hace bastante tiempo... ya tengo claro que no podre usarlo para los shooters jajaja
Tengo un klip que me hice con alambre, pero como básicamente solo tiro de emuladores con el ipega se juega mejor.
