MIUI for Alcatel v860 - Vodafone Smart 2



dadroid98 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5265423) and I made MIUI for this phone. We provide this as is and without any warranty.

I try this rom, its faster, doesn't freeze, i don't have any extrange bugs, the bugs are the same than CM7

EDITO: La rom funciona perfectamente, tiene muchas cosas en ingles pero funciona bien.

Did you follow flashing instructions?

I tested it before release. And i know that others running it well.

legolas93, can you tell me how do you do for port a ROM? When I try to port a ROM, it doesn't, I follow tutorials, I do all the tutorial step by step, I pay attention to put the files no only in system, I put the correct files in custpack too, but ir doesn't work.
Please, help me.

is it happening to anyone or just me ,when i plug the usb cable to the mobile and i give it a coonect it reboots with this rom am i wrong??

Vale, creo que he encontrado un fallo, cuando bloqueo el móvil, al intentar desbloquearlo me sale la linterna y se pilla, no se si tiene relacion con que anteayer se fue la luz y puse la linterna, no se, pero es molesto tener que aguantar esto al desbloquear el móvil, legolas93, por favor, sale prioridad.

When I lock the phone, when I try to unlock it, sometimes I get the flashlight and there is a lag.

- If you are coming from other ROM and use Link2SD Format EXT partition before flashing
- If you use Link2SD follow second post in MIUI thread. File to set in script manager is changed.

Probably one of the best ROM for Vodafone Smart 2 together with JellySmart.

Hi, first of all, nice rom, it's pretty and has some nice features although for me it seems a bit slow (I had one that didn't had much on it, just the 360 launcher, but this one is pretty good.

I just had one question, I can't use the GPS, it never gets a "lock on", I'ver already tryed gps status and fix but to no avail, I really want to use this rom but I need the gps (since I don't have a tom tom) and right now I'm going beserk trying to "fix it", do you have any suggestion?


P.S. I'm from Portugal, don't know if that matters or not for the location..

Regarding random boots and FC's I've found it to be very stable if you don't change the language in the rom. I only changed timezone and dictionary to Portuguese in SMS/Texting.

Regarding GPS bug do the following:

Replace gps.conf located in system/etc by the original file of the stock rom
Replace gps.bcm21553.so located in system/lib/hw by the original file of the stock rom
Replace all files located in system/etc/gps by the original files in the stock rom

Don't forget to change permissions once the files are replaced...

Thanks a million, this worked like a charm, because I already had another rom installed unzipped MIUI-B2 and replaced the files you mentioned, zipped it again and then flashed the rom normally and everything works great!

Bueno, voy a hacer una revisión de esta ROM comentando errores y demás:

·TRABAJO HECHO POR LOS DESARROLLADORES

Excelente, les doy un 9'5/10, excelente trabajo, han traído una gran ROM que funciona bien... pero llevan desde agosto sin prestarle atención cuando todavía queda por hacer.

·ERRORES

·Cuando llamo la pantalla se queda en negro hasta que cuelgan, si no me lo cojen y tienen contestador, me cuesta dinero.

·Cuando me llaman, la pantalla se queda en negro y no puedo contestar.

·Me he fijado en que hay algunas apps que en la ROM stock se instalan, mientras que en esta ni se instalan ni aparecen en Google Play.

·Algunas apps que funcionan en la ROM Stock en esta ROM se cierran al abrirlas dando un FC.

·Algunas veces el móvil colapsa.

·El equalizador (DSP Manager) da FC (que se cierra) muchas veces.

·El wifi va mal, mientras que el la ROM Stock va rápido y busca bien y se conecta en un momento, aquí tarda en buscar y conectarse y después no vuelve a buscar, hay que apagarla y volver a encenderla.

·Aunque no suelo usar mucho el bluetooth, una vez tuve que encenderlo y no encendía, solo me pasó esa vez, fue algo puntual.

·Me da la impresión de que el GPS no funciona del todo bien, creo que no funciona, no se conecta a los satélites.

·RECOMENDACIONES
·Corregir los errores mencionados antes.
·Eliminar Script Manager y Link2SD, ya que es MIUI original, no debe llevar nada añadido. Además, los usuarios pueden descargar estas aplicaciones desde Google Play.

·Darle el mismo soporte que a las demás versiones, noto que está ROM, a pesar de ser para muchos la mejor ROM de este teléfono y seguir estando en fase beta, recibe menos soporte que la otra ROM JellySmart, lo mismo pasa con CyanogenMod 7.2, que no se actualiza tampoco.
