Ubuntu en su versión DESKTOP se ejecuta en HTC Flyer ((no es el Ubuntu Touch de 2013))
A la espera de que Ubuntu quede instaurado en los terminales android, los chicos de LinuxOnAndroid nos dejan esta maravilla.
Los requisitos para emular Ubuntu 12.04 en Android:
Estar rooteado.
Tener kernel con soporte loop (el Stock funciona)
Activar USB Debugging (no se muy bien para que, por que yo no lo he usado, pero lo recomiendan)
Haber instalado previamente Ubuntu Installer, android-vnc-viewer, Terminal Emulator y BusyBox
Descargar Ubuntu.sh
Descargamos la imagen de Ubuntu desde aqui (http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxonandroid/files/Ubuntu/12.04/), podemos descargar la Full, Small o Core. Por el normbre os podeis ya imaginar lo que pueden traer, yo he instalado la Full.
Una vez descargado, descomprimimos los dos archivos y los copiamos en una carpeta creada para la ocasion en /Sdcard/Ubuntu
(tiene que ser en la Sdcard, en la externa no).
Copiar en esa misma ubicacion el ubuntu.sh. (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ubsh/files/ubuntu.sh/download?use_mirror=garr&r=&use_mirror=garr)

Iniciamos el Terminal Emulator desde el HTC FLYER y escribimos:
#su
#cd /sdcard/ubuntu
#sh ubuntu.sh
Empezada a realizar unos comandos, puede tardar unos minutos...
Nos pedira la resolucion, ponemos la suya, 1024×6000 y escrimos Y para guardar los datos por defecto.
Dejamos el Terminal Emulator en segundo plano y abrimos Android VNC Viewer.
Los datos a poner son:
Nickname: Ubuntu
Pass: Ubuntu
Connection: localhost
Port: 5900
ColorFormat: 24bit color
Y le damos a conectar y listo.
A disfrutarlo!!

Este hack Chroot debería funcionar con cualquier dispositivo con Android que tiene ROOT lo que pasa es que el dueño tiene un HTC Flyer.
En la teoría de la secuencia de comandos Chroot podría reescribirse para cualquier dispositivo con una configuración decente Unix como decir un iDevice, Blackberry Playbook, o dispositivo WebOS.
No es demasiado difícil, pero usted puede tener algunos problemas con el montaje de almacenamiento y varias otras cosas pero yo aconsejaría a los que no son muy expertos en esta tecnología no intentar esto.
Tengo que decir que a pesar del lento desempeño VNC (si se está ejecutando en el dispositivo en sí, sino a través de una conexión local y conexión remota no por lo que funciona sin la necesidad de otra PC o Internet) sorprendentemente funcional que puede ejecutar programas completos de oficina, se codificación, y la mejor parte es que puede ejecutar una aplicación MyPaint arte completo funciona de maravilla con lápiz el Flyer de HTC. aquí hay algunas fotos

open VNC

port: 5900
password: ubuntu
set colour to 24 bit

When you've finished shut-down the Linux install then kill the terminal shell and clear memory,
Doesn't seem to close properly from the VNC however this is just the background that remains in the memory, everything unmounts cleanly, and it can't be reopened until the memory is cleared. Since its a CHROOT its opened from the android environment and needs to be killed from the same terminal. You'll see when you shut-down the terminal closes and there are unmount commands in the .sh that are executed upon shut-down.
Its pretty much working, let me know if you have issues.

Thanks to whoever built most of this, this was floating around on dell streak forum months ago then it dissapeared so cant find it hosted anywhere any more, modified a few bits to get it working on galaxy s II
