Como mejorar la resolución de la pantalla de nuestro smartphone
(NOTA: NO ME HAGO RESPONSABLES DE LOS DAÑOS QUE SE LE PUEDAN OCASIONAR A VUESTROS TERMINALES)
Día tras día están saliendo terminales con mayor resolución de pantalla y los iconos tienden a ser cada vez más pequeños y de mayor calidad. Si tienes acceso root y notas que los iconos se ven demasiado grandes y te gustaría cambiarlo, continúa leyendo, puesto que este artículo te va a interesar y vas a poder darle un mejor aspecto a tu terminal.

Como decía, os voy a dar las instrucciones para poder aumentar la densidad de la pantalla para así tener un aspecto mucho más cuidado.
Para ello, necesitaremos primero de todo tener acceso root y a poder ser, una rom modificada, aunque también funcionará con las oficiales. Una vez cumplido este pequeño requisito, vamos a necesitar dos archivos:
El primero, el DPI changer, que lo podréis encontrar en Google Play.

Una vez dentro del programa, lo único que tendréis que hacer es apretar el botón desplegable y allí seleccionar “custom” o alguna de las opciones ya presentes, pero siempre con cuidado, puesto que aumentar o reducir mucho este valor podría dejar inservible el móvil. Así pues, si tenemos por ejemplo una resolución de 240DPI, podemos probar 280 y si no nos convence 300 o hasta 320, eso ya depende de como de pequeño lo queráis.
Cuando hayáis hecho esto, ya lo tendremos todo listo y solo hará falta reiniciar el terminal para ver que tal ha quedado la cosa. Recordad que si no nos convence, podemos volver al punto de partida o cambiar el parámetro tantas veces como uno quiera.
Hecho esto, únicamente tendremos un problema y este es Google Play, ya que al probar de descargar una nueva aplicación os dirá que no es compatible con el terminal. Así pues, será hora de usar este archivo.

Simplemente es una versión de Google Play modificada para adaptarse a la densidad de pantalla que seleccionéis. Es importante que se sigan estos pasos a la hora de instalarlo:
1.Reiniciar
2.Eliminar datos de Google Play (Ajustes-Aplicaciones-Todas-Google Play-Borrar Datos)
3.Desinstalar el antiguo Android Market
4.Instalar el nuevo mediante el programa “root explorer” y darle permisos rwrr
5.Reiniciar
6.Ir a Google Play
7.Aceptar los términos de uso
8.¡¡Y a disfrutar!

SEGUNDO MÉTODO (XDA)
Fed up of seeing the mass of HDPI themes filling those official CM9 theme threads? And you're still stuck on a MDPI device with the only themes that work are the holo ones from CyanogenMod? WORRY NO FURTHER.
I've tried this with loads of HDPI themes and it works nearly all the time. Ok, here's what you do:
1. Install the HDPI theme you want to apply.
2. Download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birdapi.android.dpi&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5ia XJkYXBpLmFuZHJvaWQuZHBpIl0
3. Change the LCD density from 160 to 140.
4. Press save and reboot.
5. After reboot, you'll notice things look a little bit smaller, but it's till usable.
Now go to Settings > Themes > Apply the HDPI theme you installed.
6. Now go back to LCD Density Modder app and set it back from 140 up to 160.
7. Save and reboot.
8. VOILA! HDPI theme on your MDPI device !!! Amazing, I know.
Please note: Sometimes, not everything will be themed, this is either because we are not on the latest nightly yet, or it's because it's HDPI.
ALSO NOTE !! : When applying the HDPI theme, try to keep LCD Density Modder app in the background (like in task switcher) so you can switch back to that - this is because sometimes launcher like Trebuchet can crash when applying the HDPI theme and then you're stuck. So keep it open in the background.
