About MoDaCo Custom ROMs

MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs - either shipping or leaked. A MCR release is designed to feel as far as possible like a stock ROM, with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device.

Requirements

In order to use this ROM you must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed - see my ClockworkMod Beta post (http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optimus-2x-2x-modaco-com/335479/26-mar-3-0-1-4-beta-3-clockworkmod-recovery-for-the-lg-optimus-2x/) for details.

0725 V20l baseband is recommended, available in this topic (http://android.modaco.com/topic/335494-11-nov-smartflash-stock-baseband-release-103521-20110725-v20l-version/).

The ROM is installed at your own risk. The ROM should be installed using ClockworkMod. A wipe IS required unless you are coming from another Gr4 or Gr5 build. If you are coming from an EXT4 ROM and using an EXT3 bake (or either of the prebakes), you need to convert back to EXT3 first using this tool (http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optimus-2x-2x-modaco-com/336318/4-apr-r1-backtoext3-for-converting-your-device-er-back-to-ext3/).

Installation

To install this ROM:



Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card (/sdcard/_ExternalSD) - you must used a physical microSD card!
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card - you MUST use a physical microSD card!


If you have problems with Market licencing, check your device date!

First boot may take a while - be patient while it carries out it's pre-dexopt. Upgrading

A WIPE IS MANDATORY IF YOU ARE COMING FROM ANY ROM EXCEPT A PREVIOUS BUILD OF Gr4 / Gr5! Apologies, but this is unavoidable for this release. I recommend using Titanium Backup to back up your data. Wipe BEFORE installing the ROM.

Llevo 3 días con ella instalada y la verdad que va genial (menos el bug del GPS). Batería gasta muy poca y no he notado problemas de cobertura.El quadrant me da 2800 sin OC.Por ahora muy contento.Saludos.

perdonar mi ignorancia, pero se instala desde el clockwordmod y si es asi se instala en español.
Y otyra cosa mas ahora tengo la gb original 20l rootedad y con recovery instalado, si instalo esta , el recovery de pierde, y el rotteeo, es decir tendria que volverlos a meter.
He leido que con el rom manager tambien se puede instalar este tipo de rom en formato zip, es asi, si fuera posible me podiais decir que es mas recomendable

No pierdes ni el root ni el recovery.

BUeno la acabo de intentar instalar, y todo perfecto, pero cuando arranca el movil, solo hace que reiniciarse, he llegado a ver la pantalla del logo con las letras Lg Optimus 2x, pero de ahi mo pasa se reinicia constatntemente.
Que he hecho mal.
Que es eso del wipe, y como se hace si es ese el problema.

No, el GPS no pilla satélites siempre.Funciona cuando quiere.A veces reiniciando con el gps encendido pilla rápido.Un saludo.

Me pasa lo que me pasaba antes con algunas rom. Sobre el 20% de batería se va a cero muuuuy rápido y se apaga. Luego vuelvo a encender y está otra vez por el 20%. Ya probé a hacerle un calibrado de batería pero no funcionó en su momento. ¿Alguna idea?

Prueba con la versión LG style que si los tiene o si no tira del switch pro o algún widget similar, pq supongo que llevas instalada la Vanilla.

Yo la instalé desde el recovery sin hacer wipes y sin problemas.Tenia instalada la V20L oficial.saludos.

La 1ª vez me paso lo mismo.. culpa mia por hacerme el listillo y no leer.. instale el vanilla y no el core. Sencillamente era que habia que flashear 2 veces, 1º el core y justo despues la parte "opcional".. en mi caso la vanilla.

No estoy muy al dia pero quizas tambien pueda ser un problema ext4/ext3.. si la rom que usabas es ext4.. quizas debas pasara ext3 antes de flashear..

Hacia tiempo q no lo pasaba tan bien. He tenido un Iphone estos dos ultimos años y poco se le podia hacer. Antes estaba con una diamaon un omnia... y le cambiaba cada dos por tres la ROM. Ahora estoy igual jejejejeje. llevo 4 o 5 horas con la GR5 y me gusta.
Por cierto, q tal va con RC9? merece la pena?

He flasheado el kernel HP SR2 y la verdad es que los resultados son muy buenos (al menos en lo qua ha duración de la batería respecta). En XDA recomiendan usar tb el supercharger (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276), pero ahí ya me pierdo...

Alguno lo ha probado pq menudo lío para instalarlo, no?

Yo he instalado la primera (la 111111),que diferencia hay con la151111?. Como se pone la barra de bateria en vertical?.bueno he instalado al final la segunda. No se me ha borrado nada.
