bueno pues alguna ves hace no mucho tiempo vi en XDA un tema donde un usuario comentaba el metodo para dejar hsdpa de lado y solo hacer la conectividad via 3g y edge (esto con fines de ahorrar bateria)
en aquel entonces no le tome importancia pero ahora si quiciera realizar el procedimiento pero no encuentro el tema hahaha
¿alguien lo ha realizado? que me explique... se que es dentro de la configuracion que entras por *#0011# pero por mas vueltas que le doy no encuentro donde especificar ese parametro :pensando:

Battery gets hit the most when using a data connection, and the stronger the data connection, the more the battery drain. Hence, one of the methods can be disabling HSPA/HSDPA/HSUPA and use 3G instead, which may not be as speedy but certainly consumes a lot less battery.
Here is a step-by-step guide to disabling HSPA on Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 (thanks to XDA member hardcore)
Open the phone’s dialer pad and enter the following code:
*#301279#
This will bring you to the menu shown below. Tap [2] CHANGE HSPA REVISION

From the new options, select [1] RELEASE R99(HSPA OFF) or any other option that says HSPA off.
You’ll get a new service mode window telling you that HSDPA, HSUPA and HSPA have been turned off.
Press the ‘Menu’ softkey and then ‘End’ to exit, or simply use the ‘Back’ softkey.
That’s it. You’re done. The battery draining HSPA mode has been turned off, and will remain so even after a reboot.
Should you ever want to turn it back on, just go to the same process, and this time, select the option [3] RELEASE 6(HSDPA/HSUPA)

This method has been tested on the radio I9000XXJPP and it actually works, resulting in better battery life on Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000.

bueno no puedo decir mucho pero tras una hora de haberlo activado solo coenctado al 3g conteste un par de llamadas y mensajes y solo bajo un 1%... cno hspda sin usarlo se me baja 2 o 3% por hora hahaha entonces.. por ahora puedo decir que si me ayudo.. ya vere al paso de un dia completo
Bueno gente.. no se si esto aplique por igual para los que no tiene un i9000T.. pero en mi caso despues de ya testearlo bien ha cambiado drasticamente el consumo de bateria al dejar de estar en H y ahora permanecer en 3g.. la velocidad disminiyó es cierto pero no al grado de no poder navegar.. de hecho creo que está muy decente. y bueno la bateria facilmente se duplico
Se nota mucho la bajada de velocidad??? Es que estoy pensando en hacerlo para aumentar la duración de la batería, pero no quiero perder mucha velocidad de conexión...

La velocidad no se nota. Eso si como quieras abrir un video en youtube con el 3g te puedes morir

Estoy con una rom MIUI y no me deja entrar al menu ese, ¿alguien sabe como hacerlo de alguna otra forma?
Se nota mucho la bajada de velocidad??? Es que estoy pensando en hacerlo para aumentar la duración de la batería, pero no quiero perder mucha velocidad de conexión...

en mi caso, manejo correo, twitdroid, facebook y navegar por la web para busquedas o cualquier otra cosa sin problemas digamos que aumento la espera de carga unos 4 a 6 segundos a comparacion de estar con H. pero pues no es un tiempo de espera mortal..
en el caso del twitter, facebook y el gmal se siguen manejando con la misma fluides en 3g como en H.
la bateria me aumentó de consumir 7% por hora en H a consumir cerca de 1 a 2% por hora en 3g,

exacto haha bueno no tanto para morir mientras no le pongas en cargar en hd si lo carga rapido.. no en tiempo real como era con H pero solo le toma unos segundos en cargar el cache y comienza a reproducirse

quizá le desactivaron esas funciones ya que la miui al igual que las otras que son modificadas pues les mueben de todo :oh:
